I’m a massive fan of Dr Dre and love his music. I really enjoyed his debut album “The Chronic”. Back in the days (the ol’ school rap was some of the greatest music ever) I remember buying the tape for this album years ago. VAG release the Remastered edition of the album. There isn’t a change with the tracks from the previous remastered edition but the audio has been digitally remastered, with a better bitrate. Check NFO for more info!

The Chronic is the debut solo studio album of hip hop producer and rapper Dr. Dre, released December 15, 1992 on his former own label, Death Row Records, and distributed by Priority Records. Recording sessions for the album took place in June 1992 at Death Row Studios in Los Angeles, California and at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, California. The album was named after a slang term for high-grade marijuana. The album cover is a homage to Zig-Zag rolling papers.[12] The Chronic was recorded by Dr. Dre following his departure from N.W.A and Ruthless Records over a financial dispute, and consequently featured both subtle and direct insults at Ruthless and its owner, former N.W.A group member, Eazy-E.

    Dre is the man no doubt rap has went downhill the 90's gave us the greatest rappers and beats to date what a decade,i remember buying this back in 92 on cd and still have it now in mint condition great post!

    You know…. I never got why so many people love this album as much as they do…. Don't get me wrong, I really like it but mostly for the singles from it, the rest of the album is actually kinda weak and I find myself skipping over allot of the tracks most of the time I listen to it. The first half of the album is certainly a better listen than the second half…

    Maybe the remaster with better audio will change my opinion… let's see….

    After the early 90s I pretty much gave up on Rap.

    V2… I don't get the audio "scene" at all- why have a scene when the standards are worse than the avrage p2p releases :S
