Finally a DVD screener of Doubt has just been released by NEPTUNRE. I was actaully expecting the DVD screener of this earlier as it was up for a number of awards at the Golden Globes. Quality is very good as expected from a DVD screener but as its a DVD screener there could be black and white screens and/or copyright text (Although there isnt anything in the sample), enjoy.

It’s 1964, St. Nicholas in the Bronx. A charismatic priest, Father Flynn, is trying to upend the schools’ strict customs, which have long been fiercely guarded by Sister Aloysius Beauvier, the iron-gloved Principal who believes in the power of fear and discipline. The winds of political change are sweeping through the community, and indeed, the school has just accepted its first black student, Donald Miller. But when Sister James, a hopeful innocent, shares with Sister Aloysius her guilt-inducing suspicion that Father Flynn is paying too much personal attention to Donald, Sister Aloysius sets off on a personal crusade to unearth the truth and to expunge Flynn from the school. Now, without a shard of proof besides her moral certainty, Sister Aloysius locks into a battle of wills with Father Flynn which threatens to tear apart the community with irrevocable consequence.

    philip seymour hoffman is currently probably the best character actor out there, makes you almost feel pity for the old "golden" stars, who are stuck in the same role for years now (al pacino, robert deniro..)

    No 2CD version or even DVDR ?

    I really do not like those 1 CD releases. Such great movies deserve at least 2CDs especially at such a length of more than 100 minutes ! I also prefer AC3 audio because it sounds much better than MP3 even it is only 2.0 and not 5.1 !

    Che Part One doesn't have a DVDR version either :(

    Valkyrie DVDSCR will not pop up until a retail DVDSCR does.
    The new United Artsts sent out no screeners for any of its films to Academy voters.
    Just as last year it sent out none for Lions for Lambs.
    Any site that claims to have an Academy screener for Valkyrie is lying.

    excellent quality, I have to correct myself, the 1CD version is good enough. I have hardly ever seen a 1CD XviD movie with a such brillant video and audio quality. Looks better than many retail 1CD rips. Only one very small and very short ( 1 – 2 seconds ) screener remark at the very beginning. No black and white or any other of that stuff. Excellent. Do not wait for a retail rip, this is fine enough.
