A psychodrama about a photographer whose pictures tell a different story to that of her perception.

Plot: Jeanne a writer, married, with two children – starts to see unsettling changes in her home. Her body is beginning to change. No one around her seems to notice. Her family dismisses these fears as the result of the stress of having to finish her next book, but Jeanne realizes that something far deeper, far more disturbing is taking place. A photograph at her mother’s house sends her in search of a woman in Italy. Here, transformed into another woman, RosaMaria, she will discover the strange secret of her true identity.

    None of these downloads offer “english” subtitles. Also, they are only in 2 channel stereo,and has been cropped from original 2.35:1 aspect ratio to only 1.85:1, leaving much missing from every scene, and only 2 channel stereo, whereas a superior, ac3 5.1/ 2.35:1 720p version from blu-ray is available on most sites. Unfortunately, none of these have english subs.

    It is in French and there is a flash of Sophie Marceau’s (or body doubles) muff in a mirror as she exits the tub at the very start of the movie. Subs are available @ http://subscene.com/english/Dont-Look-Back-Ne-te-retourne-pas/subtitle-300059.aspx
    If you merge the two CDs with VirtualDubMod, etc then you will need to join the subs; I did that at http://submerge.delarue-berlin.de/ (put in the two srt files and a time of 0:52:41:659). A quick scan of the movie and they are pretty well synced but I haven’t watched it in full.
