DJ Max Fever USA PSP-pSyPSP

pSyPSP’s latest release is a music PSP game, named “DJ Max Fever”. I always like games in this gerne, so I’m gonna give this one a try, that’s for sure. Maybe you should too.

Based on the second edition of the Korean music sensation (but mixing elements of all editions), DJ Max Fever for PSP features a brand new mix of music tracks, a re-balanced difficulty curve, new visual elements and more! The title packs in more than 100 songs for you to tap through, as well as a Freestyle Mode (that’s activated by performing a perfect mix), goal-based contests called Extreme challenges, five difficulty levels, Network Battle Mode and a collection gallery to house the music videos, soundtracks, and images you unlock.

    DJ Max games have a security layer in then that usually needs to be cracked/patched, just like they did with their previous DJ Max games, dumbass.

    Some people think know everything LOL…
    Do a search about it before say things about other people comments…

    Yes, the DJ MAX Clazziquai Edition and Black Square for PSP have some kind of protection, but of course, as soon they got ripped, some people released a crack for it. If you try to play the game without the patch, you maybe will get to play 2 musics before crash… I couldn't believe at first but its true.

    Gillian, you probably downloaded yourself the already "patched" version. Of course, as soon they released a patch, people uploaded a "patched version" of the game…

    PSP Games don't get cracked they get ripped from the UMD's. you need a custom firmware installed for the games to run.

    Yes PSP games dont get cracked, or should i say "most of them no…" Yes you rip them from a UMD on a ISO or .CSO format and copy them to you memory stick. After that you play them by using a Custom firmware provided by the "Dark Alex" guy or some other team who make custom firmwares.

    BUT, the DJ MAX Games for PSP since Clazziquai Edition have some kind of protection on them, if you ONLY rip them and try to play you will be able to play 2 musics at most, before crash. I have both games on UMD (i'm a dj max series fan thats why, too bad i not live on USA to buy this new one) and tried to rip them myself since i like to run psp games from the memory stick (its more faster than a UMD), but i was unable to play them until i got the patch for both versions. Right now most of the links providing both games are already patched versions.

    Maybe this new DJ MAX wont need a patch but since the last 2 needed, its not weird to believe this one will need a patch too.

    Can't make the iso work. First it was starting up for 5 sec and then just returned to the home screen.

    Then I tried the old patch and now I get "The game could not be started. (80020148)"

    Well i think the old patch wont work on this new game… Like the patch for Clazziquai Edition didnt work on Black Square.
    On Clazziquai and Black Square some people could start the game by putting the PSP on "sleeping" mode right after the PSP logo appears, and then turning back on again, others by removing the memory stick and putting in again, but this was only a temporary solution since after a few minutes of gameplay the game just would just crash anyway…
    I saw a youtube video before, where the guy show this process on the Clazziquai Edition.

    @1
    This game does contain protection just like the Black Square one did.
    A patch will probably be released soon and you will need a full untouched ISO for it to work .
    One of the protections is a read speed test and if it exceeds a certain amount it will fail because it knows you are loading from a Memory stick instead of a UMD .

    So before everyone calls Dustin an "Idiot" Do your research first ;)

    Proof it works without patch:-

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4ZEH3zSOOw

    Just boot up, put in sleep mode, and wake up.

    No "research" required. Just plain and simple common sense and the knowledge to know the system you're working with.

    January 30th, 2009 | 12:06

    @Mike

    Yeah, if you only want to play 1or 2 songs before it freezes. thats barely a good solution, and you act like such a know it all when most of us probably already knew that trick and just wanted a patch.

    Fail

    Hey you noobs except Dustin,
    Pentavision DO have security patched INSIDE the DJ Max Games. As you have seen the torrent names for the past Dj Max Games are like DJ Max 2 cracked, or DJ Max Clazziquai Edition cracked. And so forth, Dj Max Fever, also has protection inside it. It will check the running speed of your UMD, and if it goes over it, it will take you back to the main screen. (PSP starting screen).

    And to Mike, if you really played the game, (or if you have even downloaded it), the screen flickers and you won't be able to play after you sleep your PSP for 4 minutes. That IS TRUE. I have personally tried it, like the Dj Max BS.

    So, please don't flame if you don't even know about the topic.

    Well i got the umd today and the loading sucks so bad XD. I really need that patch to play the iso >.> for faster loading.

    January 31st, 2009 | 10:59

    @Hombow
    The game doesn't load a lot faster if you use iso. I tried it personally. It still takes a longer time than black square. And I've tried compressing it to cso at level 1 compression rate, it takes about 40 seconds to load a song. Sucks bad…

  30. Tenja
    January 31st, 2009 | 12:19

    Erm….Compressing a game to CSO make EVERY game run EVEN slower…The ISO read pretty fast for me…even though i can only play 2 song before it crash.
    Try set your driver speed to 333

    Custom firmware 5.50GEN-B will NOT work on this game.

    Hopefully a newer firmware will be released to bypass the protection that the game has.
