DivX Create Bundle v6.6.1 Incl. Keymaker-EMBRACE
Yesterday the popular scenegroup EMBRACE came with a new version of DivX Create Bundle. The DivX Create Bundle includes DivX Pro, DivX Player, the DivX Web Player and the DivX Converter, giving you everything you need to create, play, manage and burn DivX videos.
With the DivX Converter you can convert your videos to DivX in one easy step. Simply drag your videos onto the DivX Converter and click ‘convert.’ Videos created with the DivX Converter will play back on millions of certified devices.DivX Player lets you play all DivX videos. Every version; even purchased or rented DivX movies, DivX HD files, and videos created with advanced features such as menus, subtitles and more. It also lets you manage video collections, burn discs and activate your DivX Certified devices.

DivX Web Player is a versatile utility that allows you to embed DivX videos directly into a web page.
Also included in DivX Create is DivX Pro, an advanced digital video codec (coder/decoder) that plugs into popular video software applications. When used in combination with your existing video software, DivX Pro allows you to create and play high-quality DivX videos and provides playback support for interactive video menus, subtitles, alternate audio tracks and more. DivX technology can compress digital videos 5 to 10 times more than the MPEG-2/DVD format and hundreds of times over raw digital video.

The DivX codec 6.1.1 offers multi-threading support, giving you better performance on all HyperThreaded, dual core and dual CPU (SMP) systems. A new 1-pass encoding mode can cut encoding time in half by eliminating the need for multipass encoding in certain applications. Depending on your system configuration, you can get up to 250% better performance than DivX 6.0 when using the higher quality encoding modes. Only have a single CPU? Don’t worry – DivX 6.1 is significantly faster than 6.0 across the board.

Xvid for the win!
isn’t divx pro full of spyware, or is that the non-pro “free” version?
better than nero vision?
xvid? ..
H264 FTW. Xvid supposedly better than divx at the time but I dunno… Everytime I vew something with divx now it seems clearer. Seems… but that’s only because most of everything else I watch is in either xvid or h264. You be the judge
Well, axxo uses xvid and his torrent movies are extremely popular…
aXXo uses divx not xvid for his rips.
is there a new version for Dr.Divx?
does this new version works for vista???
“aXXo uses divx not xvid for his rips.”
I apologise, I just read the nfo in a casino royale axxo torrent and it said xvid…

That’s amazing. I watched this a couple of days ago and it was 700MB for a Two and a half hour movie…And the quality was great! Guess I’ll use xvid if I ever need to rip stuff
Divx is legaqcy shit. even gay people from england(it’s full of gays who like football) would use Xvid and X264 over divx.
Why would someone download a codec full of spyware then he has an alternative which is way much better and spyware free? XviD all the way.
AVC (h264) takes like 30 times longer to encode than xvid and it only looks marginally better.
divx looks like shit unless it uses a very high bitrate, which negates the reason to use it.
xvid has the best price/performance ratio in terms of cpu cycles and video quality/bitrate.
try encoding an HD source into xvid and AVC and see if you can tell the difference… if done properly, you’d have to use a magnifying glass… and you won’t have to wait several days/weeks to finish encoding it.
well…sophos tells me lots of spyware are inside each zip file..dont download and open it, you are warned
trojan xpacker or something like that
You must see the amount of popups ZoneAlarm throws when installing Divx Create. The app tries every possible way to get access to the Internet.
The previous webplayer was buggy when using their video channel Stage6. I hope they fixed it.
tj: Time for you to play with your H264 encoder then, if well setup it takes maybe twice as long time to encode, with beter quality indeed. And the difference is quite hughe, but not relaly noticable before you get up in resolutions.
Divx is made for low resolution videos and not suited for HQ, same for DIVX really even thought they say it support 1080P but it’s relaly sloppy and sucky at it.
Nothing beats H264 when it comes to preformence on HQ releases. Specialy past 720P quality.
