Disturbed – Indestructible (2008)

Hey guys, Prezdead here. Im a new editor responsible for some music. I was made an editor earlier via the rapidshare music competition, but I’ve only made my first post now. This is mostly due to me wanting to wait for something worthwhile that I enjoy … but also I’m a full time student and once my summer begins I’m working full time. That balanced with life has given me little me time. Anyways, heres my first post. Hope to be around a bit more often. Cheers!

Album Cover

Release group FKK brings us Disturbed’s newest album, Indestructible due out in the next few days. Expected with this release is some “ballsier” sounding music, according to their guitarist Dave Donega. 15 tracks have been recorded, but only 12 are going to be on the album. Expect some bonus CD’s popping up in the near future. The singles are Inside The Fire and Perfect Insanity. Enjoy guys!

Indestructible is the upcoming fourth studio album by American alternative metal band Disturbed. The band had kept quiet about the album to the public, although the band’s MySpace page and official website were both updated, stating that they were currently in studio recording and that they were busy writing new songs for the album. The album is currently set to be released on June 3, 2008.

Disturbed is a rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The group was formed in 1996 when musicians Dan Donegan, Steve “Fuzz” Kmak, and Mike Wengren hired singer David Draiman in Chicago, Illinois. They have sold over 10 million albums worldwide. Originally classified as a nu metal band, Disturbed is now regarded by some music critics as hard rock or heavy metal, although others now regard them as alternative metal. However, the band’s genre is still being debated.

Not sure about ballsier, but crappier for sure. Compared to most songs from earlier albums, for sure. Very boring and dull-sounding thing, this album.

Disturbed haven’t release a decent album since their first. And what is with their obsession with Moon Knight? Their last few albums have that character that rips of Moon Knight.

Facade with an accent circumflex on the c.

I liked this album, regardless of what you guys say. I got it last night from Demonoid and listened to it at 1 PM today when I got home. I’d bet it’s safer to call this one hard rock over alternative metal.

“Download it, listen, junk it if you don’t like.”

Hey just a little tidbit here, although it doesn’t mention current members Steve “Fuzz” Kmak is no longer in the group, he was the base player and due to personal differences with David was replaced by John Moyer, their current base player. Thought I’d throw that in.

I got this one yesterday (Thursday) as I am a fan of the band. I have all their other albums including the Music as A Weapon stuff. Saw them live just before they released the Believe album and they were awesome, shame I cant say the same about this album. As mentioned in earlier comments, they have been going downhill since their first album, I was hoping that this one would be back to the standard of Sickness but sadly, in my opinion it’s not. Ah well.

    May 31st, 2008 | 02:36

yeh they dont sound like they did 10 years ago. they should keep churning out the same album over and over. wah wah. same crap everyone says when a band makes a new album and it doenst sound exactly like the first one. (it will be the same comments when metallica release their new album, and when slipknot releases theres and so on) bands tastes change over the years just like everyone elses. im liking this album so far, david Draimans trademark vocals are still there, but if youre expecting it to sound like the sickness then you will be disappointed. stick it on, see what you think, if you dont like it then move on…

Whoever said their first album was the best and they havn’t done anything good since needs to GTFO, sickness was the definition of nu-metal.. I’m glad they wised up with Believe and 10k fists, no crap songs like droppin plates on yer ass b*tch(lost alot of respect for disturbed on that track) They get better and evolve with each album and have shown that, if you can’t handle change which bands do just stop listening to music altogether.. Oh and to the new editor, you have good taste in music.. you made the first music post im actually downloading(been using this site over a year) Yeah. hopefully when KMFDM’s new album drops on June 3rd you cover it and redeem this sites sad taste in music.

    May 31st, 2008 | 04:45

There’s something I’ve always liked about his vocal sound, but the songs I’ve heard so far from this album are really weak. Inside the Fire is a single? Come on…really?

And further more, in both of these singles, there is some really lame vocal intro to introduce the suckage. Like stupid evil laughing… :/

Wtf?! So many haters. I listened to this twice and I like it. It’s a bit different from there other stuff, but I found it to be fairly reminiscent of they’re Believe album. Some of the lyrics are similar to Doom metal stylings, but actually pretty bas-ass. Also, to the people complaining that it isn’t sickness… wtf? Bands aren’t trapped in a single style, they’re humans with fluctuating moods and preferences. That is, after all, why we can have one track be about mass murder and revenge, then the next track be about redemption. By your mentality, all their songs would sound exactly the same, and get VERY boring.

what is this Nu-Metal thing i dont understand these days. back in the 80’s there was this thing called THRASH METAL … bands such as Slayer, first Metallica album, Forbidden, Kreator, Destruction, Vio-Lence, Dark Angel, Celtic Frost, Sepultura, Coroner the last good thrash metal band Demolition Hammer .. man the GOLDEN era of Extreme Metal.

the music was awesome … focusing on composition .. had fast great riffs. ahh thats REAL metal. now i dont understand Nu-Metal. what is it … why Nu-metal can anyone answer me. all those metalcore deathcore mallcore stuff i dont understand.
what happened to Metal. there’s some good bands out there but nobody knows them. all the kids are into Break Beats these days. breakdowns and bouncy riffs thats not metal man.

if you really want to get into metal .. start from the roots.
and stop wasting your money and time and bandwidth downloading these craps and supporting garbage.

    Support Real Metal.

Hiya Prez, Mooing at you from you know where.

  70. Hmm...
    June 1st, 2008 | 02:24

@68 Metal can be a relative term. Mainstream considers it mindless violence and to them, that’s metal. Like all musical genre’s, Metal ever evolving. (except pop, that crap always seems the same) The same way that if all songs from one band were the same would get boring, there is a limit to the variety that can be found if you stiffen the definition of a genre style. Also, on the note of old metal… with the exception of a few incredible bands, a lot of if would today be reclassified as soft rock and pop rock compared to current metal standards.

  71. Hmm...

okay… just bought the album and listening to it for the first time. I love disturbed and honestly yes it doesn’t live up to the standards of the first three albums and i’m rather disappointed with David not showing off his amazing vocals but i feel this album is more for the hardcore fans and I love it personally. It’s different… it’s up to you if you think it’s bad of good but personally there are some good tracks and some bad tracks… give it a listen but if you didn’t like Inside the Fire I doubt you will like this album.
