District 9 REPACK R5 LiNE XviD-KAMERA

Well yesterday we had the DEViSE release and the KAMERA release of District 9 but the KAMERA version was nuked for CBR audio, so here is the REPACK now. The KAMERA version had much better audio than the DEViSE version in my opinion so hopefully its all in sync this time ;) Enjoy!

Thirty years ago, aliens made first contact with Earth. Humans waited for the hostile attack, or the giant advances in technology. Neither came. Instead, the aliens were refugees, the last survivors of their home world. The creatures were set up in a makeshift home in South Africa’s District 9 as the world’s nations argued over what to do with them.

Now, patience over the alien situation has run out. Control over the aliens has been contracted out to Multi-National United (MNU), a private company uninterested in the aliens’ welfare — they will receive tremendous profits if they can make the aliens’ awesome weaponry work. So far, they have failed; activation of the weaponry requires alien DNA. The tension between the aliens and the humans comes to a head.

Yep, its either a blank page, 503 database error or guru varnish error. Even after all the upgrades this still happens daily. I dont think the admins know how to fix it.

Don't watch this with the Alien parts subtitled. It's a far more rewarding experience interpreting the conversations through the context and Sharlto Copley's brilliant interactions.

  25. Devise Sync Issues
    September 5th, 2009 | 14:59

I didn't even notice that Devise's release was out of sync. I'm a native English speaker and usually the out of sync speech is enough for me to delete the copy at the onset. Maybe it was because I was having a hard time understanding them sometimes that I wasn't focused on their lips and the words.

  27. Mike

You can upload this all you like but you'll not understand a word of alien as there are no hard subs. Noirs good TS is the only one with subs and without them it makes no sense. (Unless you speak "Alien"!!!!)

  32. Mise
    September 5th, 2009 | 15:18

@ #44 saw the samples, and both Devise and Kamera were out of sync: you notice this when they're speaking, and their mouths are out of sync with the speech coming from them. This can be off putting if there are a number of people talking at the same time, as you won't know who is _ACTUALLY_talking.

I got Devise last night, as the quality is a bit sharper, but will get this version as the sample makes it look in sync.

I watched the devise version last night and the picture is great, fills up the whole screen sharply on my 37 inch tv. The audio is a bit hard to hear at times though. I didnt notice any sync issues so if they are there they are minor.

  81. Worldrave
    September 5th, 2009 | 20:20

Wow, very nice, it worked fine. For those that want subtitles to Devise's version (as the quality is noticably better after personally comparing the 2), just grab the subtitle's from this post http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RP3LH6RE (Thanks Deafsnake!!!) and rename the file to the same as Devise filename. (BTW, I, along with many other's haven't experienced ANY sync issues with Devise's version!!).
You can STILL use the subtitle program to impose the substitle's inside the video in case you convert to DVD for machine's, or playback on device's that don't handle subtitle files. ENJOY!!!!

I just watched Devise's R5 & the fact that it was out of sync really wasn't an issue. Typically that would bother me, but I didn't even notice. I have a mac & I used MovieGate to hard code the subtitles. The only question I have is, why was Devise's & Noir's releases 107 minutes & Kamera's 115 minutes? What's missing from it? I just watched the whole movie & didn't notice anything cut from it, plus it has all the credit. I'm wondering I'd there was supposed to be an extra scene after the credits. Does anyone have any idea?

    @ sab:
Yes I have noticed that too. My guess is that the person posting the links is not a premium member of the site. I have tried other ppl's storage links and they go much faster.

Just dled this and the audio is significantly better than devise's version. It is not 720×480 like devise's rip, but it still plays full screen on my TV and I don't think I can really tell the difference in video quality. My one gripe is that, just as with the devise rip, the subs are really poorly written.

Your password doesn't work. Am I to search all over http://www.tinydl.com looking for it?

You want us to share it? What is the password?
