Discovery Channel The Re-Inventors Flying Car HDTV XviD-TERRA
The Re-Inventors is a show I have not watched yet. The episode here is about a build team trying to build and test a flying car. The show seems like a little like mythbusters, there is a hypothesis put forth at the beginning of the show and then the team builds and tests the prototype. There is nothing else worth watching tonight unless you want to watch a new ATHF episode, and the 80th Academy Awards.

It sort of flies for a bit and then crashes. If it was going a bit faster it could’ve flew, but then again the wings might have popped off

@10 I dunno if 8 is spoiling anything. Planes fly and cars are supposed to stick to the road (good ones anyway). This frankencarplane looks doomed from the get go. The whole premise seems oxymoronic. heh heh

For some reason I just love these flicks like Scrapheap challenge and all the other stuff from teh Discovery channel. I would just wish for a junkyard near here somewhere and just get tinkering along.

What happened this use to be a UK tvshow. Grrrrr our ideas have been stolen again.

your mistaken, its premiss unlike mythbusters, is based in fact.
theres a reason its called “Re-Inventors” as thats exaxtly what they do , revisit the existing old forgotten inventions of the (UK)past and try and reproduce them on a UK TV style budget and timeframe.
so that bolt-on wing for a car did once exist as an original invention, its a shame the old sargant major fronting the show does’nt get some of the real UK (old and new)inventors involved and update these for todays tech.
but then its just for entertainment and not potential profits (other than licencing the TV program etc)as such.
just wait a while and you will see some US and/or japanese business take on the UK re-invention idea and make loads of long term profits based on this TV program if its popular.
