Discovery Channel Sunrise Earth Glacier of Kenai Fjords HDTV XviD-TERRA

Now, this program is a little strange. There is no narration, only a camera and microphone to capture the ambient sound and visuals. For about 40 min all there is to see is a glaciers melting away. Some positive aspects of this sort of visual-treat is that it would make a great relaxing background video to play on your widescreen TV. Also ideas I can gather up is this would be a great video to get a hold onto and keep it on loop to demo computer displays in a retail store - it would look magnificent. An accurate description of TERRA would be that they are a discovery channel group that would cap things most people don’t care about. They are new and only have 11 releases.

Perched in Alaska’s dawn hours along the terminal moraine of Kenai Fjord’s lar…gest tidewater glacier, cool, blue cracks of ice flow toward the sea.

Love these. Great stuff for early morning wake-ups. Incredible scenery. It’s very Zen-like in its simplicity. I doubt many on here would go for it, though.

Stuff like this come on every morning when theres no show on. I’ve seen it on Animal Planet also and theres different sceneries everyday. Sometime its in front of the San Fran Bridge and ppl are doing yoga. I think this is for relaxation or centering ones self b4 starting a hard day at work.

ya… the only problem is that this glacier isn’t meant to be melting… but oh well, who cares… as long as it’s scenic, right?

    What’s HD about 624×320.. ;-P
Width is only slightly higher than standard DV video. I’d prefer having this a GB or 2 larger :P

remenber the vhs tapes we had feew years ago ? like the one with a static shot of a fireplace, or a chicken being roasted … that’s the modern version of that … a loosy & lazy “pawanaqasi”(the serie of 4 movies w phil Glass music and only time-lapses of human activities on Earth, realeased in the early 80’s) … so anyone got a torrent link ?? ;-)

    January 10th, 2008 | 21:29

hehe, in a sense it IS like Koyaanisqatsi and the bunch, only on the more upbeat tone. hope it is as good as them too, glass’ music still haunts. hope soon someone gets this in p2p….
any links to LandscapeHD similar stuff?

    January 10th, 2008 | 21:39

    yes just google those :
Discovery Channel Sunrise Earth Katmai Bears
    and
Discovery Channel Sunrise Earth Greatest Hits West
(sorry I’m new here, I don’t know if posting direct link to other torrents sites is allowed …)
The main idea is answering to this question : “what can I put on my brand new HDtv screen” ? that might fade out in the next months with the grows of HD broadcasting (I leave in Western Europe, and there are very few channels broadcasting in HD for the moment). Does anyone if this kind of program reach a big audience in USA ??
