The keygen file doesnt work under Vista, the registry edit has no effect on the splash screen or the limit it has on the amount of hyperbass etc that can be applied.
is there an alternative?
Got a problem with this one, i add the registry key. Went to the keygen and it says i just need to run the regkey to make it registered. I did that, but it’s still asking for email/serial, keygen just points me to regkey, regkey doesnt register. Am i missing something?

DFX is a great app .. but the keygen crashes my windows xp, and restarts the comp a few seconds after i open it.
Could this be a VB issue or similar?

The keygen is very simple. Just open in up, click the file that it says (its in the .rar file you download, not in program files, etc.) and viola!
Nothing else needs to be done.

i tried this for winamp and it’s absolutely horrible! distorted my audio, sounded like crap. i wouldnt recommend this at all

SRS Audio Sandbox does sound cooler, you don’t need to install a different for each media player. It works for them all. Even media players not listed.
I installed this program on my x p but when I installed it on the vista it didn’t work. It asks for the registration code, does anyone have a working serial for winamp dfx for vista i would greatly appreciate it.

This plug-in is actually decent and 2nd best plug-in that actually does make the sound better (1st being the built-in BBE controls of JetAudio). Volume Logic is another good one for Winamp.

Put your keygen on your desktop. Open it. Push the generate button, Go back to your desktop and it should be a reg file the named CR-DX8WP. Double click it and push yes. Then the application is registred. There is no serial..

This is such bull, if you want better sound get a decent amplifier and loudspeakers and a good usb dac (like the AQVOX USB2A/D)and use lossless file formats!!!
This is utter fail imo, I downloaded it, installed it and my ears started bleeding. Everything was so horribly distorted it wasn’t even funny. I don’t see how anyone could ever say this is a good piece of software.

Any such program that’ll do this with Zoom Player? ANyone know that? That’s what I use for watching DVD’s, and it’d be great if I could boost the sound even more for the live DVD’s for example.

WMP-s version ain’t working for me too.. i tried the reg key but it still wants to be registred.. maybe my system needs a reboot or smth ?
stupid keygen wont work
Tried allsorts to get the WMP version working. It just won’t. I have generated and added the regkey many times, rebooted, reloaded the plugin, etc. When i load it up in WMP though, it doesn’t even register the music as playing and the sliders have no effect on the sound.
Just wanted this app to see what it was like more than anything. I have large speakers and a proper ampifier rigged up to my PC, so no real need for anything else to tweak it. No real loss… just a shame when a release doesn’t work is all.

Enhancer dries the sound out too much. Haven’t tried SRS though. DFX is good. JetAudio’s default controls are better.

the keygen dowsnt work on vista 64bit systems because it doesnt store the app information in the registry like the vista 32bit does or xp 32bit
so to fix your problem in vista 64bit try this
generate the key by core’s patch then edit CR-DX8WP.reg
from this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DFX\11\REGISTRATION
to this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\DFX\11\REGISTRATION
add Wow6432Node to every like there and it will work enjoy.

Tried adding an email to the regkey too and then copying the serial from it into the register box in the program, still did nothing.

Gniarf, to get it to work with foobar, you’ll need to get the Winamp version of the plugin and then configure it to work with foobar. I think there’s info on this at hydrogenaudio forums.

I tried the plugin with different kinds of music, sounds good with hiphop/metal/pop, and anything that needs crisp sounds.
But when playing classical music, specially songs recorded from LPs it makes the noise stand out too much,
(The patch works fine btw, run the keygen.exe, this will generate a registry file. Run that, and restart winamp.)

Ok folks, sorry about my link containing a virus. I’m using ESET Nod32 Antivirus and it didn’t detect anything. Trust me though, SRS Audio Sandbox IS the way to go. Find a virus-free link to download SRS Audio Sandbox, because it is a very good program.
Again, I’m really sorry about providing the virus-link. I had no idea.
Step 1 – download DFX.for.Winamp.v8.405.Incl.Keymaker-Core.rar
Step 2 – unzip DFX.for.Winamp.v8.405.Incl.Keymaker-Core.rar to a folder (THE CRACK WONT WORK IF YOU DON’T)
Step 3 – open dfxInstall-Winamp.exe and install
Step 4 – open keygen.exe -> click generate
Step 5 – look in the folder that you unzipped DFX.for.Winamp.v8.405.Incl.Keymaker-Core.rar and you should see a file that wasn’t there before named CR-DX9WP.reg -> double click CR-DX9WP.reg and you will see a dialog box with the following message: “Are you sure you want to add the information in C:\..Cr-DX8WP.reg to the registry?” -> Click Yes -> you will see another dialog box which says the following: Information in C:\..Cr-DX8WP.reg has been successfully entered into the registry.” -> Click OK
Step 6 – Open Winamp and you will see the DFX Audio Enhancer plugin if you have followed steps 1 to 5 exactly.

for the people whom the keygen don’t work use the old patch from other version. i included the patch with dfx for WMP. just paste the patch in C:\Program Files\Dfx\WMP\Dlls and press patch. only one file will not found . its ok

Another vote for SRS Audio Sandbox. I’ve used all of them, but SRS is just pure ear sex.
Best thing is, it sits on top of your primary sound driver.
But oh well, you can use both if you want to, anyway.
