Dexter S04E06 HDTV XviD-SYS

Here is another of my fave shows, its Dexter which the scene always seems to have trouble capping for some reason each week. 720p release first with no sign of the XVID yet, so its time to wait even longer :(

Update: Yay, the wait wasnt too long for the XVID to be released after the 720p.

Dexter knows it’s only a matter of time before Miami Metro discovers the Trinity Killer’s latest handiwork. Therefore, he has to work doubly hard to stay one step ahead of their investigation.

    why would a giant file be release before a more compact, downloadable one? i mean i’m grateful for the people that put effort into encoding and uploading these but it used to be at sites i got my shows from, you could get a small real audio version first. for people with slower connections like me who can’t watch it on tv. plus the show’s quite popular i don’t understand why it takes so long to get up here. must be some connection between the kind of people that watch it and the kind of people that try to please the downloading community.

    I have been watching these message boards and I have to say this. To all you people saying Californication is just as good or better than Dexter? Are you outta your fricken mind? I watched the 1st half of season 1 of Californication and it was decent, no dexter great tho. Its all about sex and less than half an hour long. I don’t understand why its so popular. But I will keep watching both shows to see if Californication gets better and until dexter loses its magic.

    Once again, you have to wait that much longer for what is one of the better shows on television. And then when it finally appears, it’s in a larger side when most people I suspect would like to d/l a SD version

    Midknight, they are totally different, but I watch and enjoy both and have seen every episode of both. You might want to try Nip/Tuck also, it’s pretty great and always surprising :)

    The HD version doesn’t seem worth the wait unless you have the connection and hardware to take advantage of it.

    @12 you’re new around these parts aren’t you

    HDTV rips come from… gasp… HDTV, so it is pretty obvious why the 720p versions are out first. The SD rips are cut/resized from HDTV caps which takes longer to do than simply reencoding the HDTV cap and uploading it in glorious hi-def for us people not living in the stoneage.

    sorry your internet or computer sucks, but ours don’t

    No its not Dexter Drama-ish..but its a great comedy…
    Dexter(Le Dexter) started out slow the first half of season 1 to explain his backdrop, but look at it now.

    yeah, makes no sense for a mere TV show in H.264 that is LESS THAN 1 hour long would be a whopping 1.4 GB…. wait for a proper DVD or BluRay rip for that!

    No, your in the minority and should adapt to the rest of us who have at the minimum a BW speed of 10mb down & 3.5 up speeds(every one I know have at least 2x that speed, its cheap).Plus the storage argument is also a bankrupt one since a nice TB HD is only about 65 to 80 Euros and every one I know has 2 of those with at least one additional external HD on their main computer unit. Dont get in the way of progress.

    @32 curb. So what about the fact that the xvids of most shows come out before the x264 720p versions? The xvids come from an HDTV source too. They should take less time to encode, so they should come out first, as they do most of the time.

    @49 some bad rls groups take forever to upload stuff, the winners of the game (ie, dimension) don’t mess around and make us wait all night for something that aired 3 hours ago.

    Frankly I’d rather have the smaller one sooner than the larger one later. When the show comes out 5 or 6 hours after airing then I am too tired to appreciate the HD quality. HD takes 3x longer to download and extract. This show isn’t that visual as to warrant it, other than the opening sequence.

    small files preference? I put 4 years of Mission Impossible in avi form on 9 DVD +R disks. some big coded files won’t burn on DVDs, without conversion.

    it came on at 9pm and ended at 10pm… so it still took them nearly 5 hours to upload it.

    yeah, 5 hours from the moment it finished airing here on east coast US.

    Where’s their mighty technology? I thought the majority was all fast kine liddat brah

    @55 curb. I don’t have a problem with dimension and other groups uploading 720p releases quickly. Good luck to them and the people who don’t have quotas to worry about and/or only want to watch a small number of shows. My problem is with the groups who take too long to upload the smaller xvids, since I prefer to watch 3 times as many shows in lower quality.

There are people out there that can barely afford to keep a roof under their heads. Food on their and their loved one’s tables, things like used computers and basic ISP service are luxuries for some.     For all you people b!tching about why these episodes take so long to appear – here’s some inside info for you:

    Only a few TV groups have cappers that get SHOWTIME and FX feeds. Some of those cappers live on the west coast, which is why certain shows are almost always hours late (e.g Dexter, Sons Of Anarchy, Nip/Tuck, etc). It depends on which capper has which feed/show. For example tonight – Californication was an east coast cap, while Dexter was a west coast cap.

    If you’ll are tired of the fakes take a look at http://www.nzbmatrix.com – they seem to release stuff at the same time as releaselog. I have never had a fake from them; sure it is nice to have a single-file MU link, but with a high speed newsgroup service like http://www.astraweb.com you can get non-fake NZB’s pretty much immediately when they show up here.

    Aside from the homeless, starving people…
    Their are people who live in the US where high bandwidth just isnt available to individuals. Europe is far ahead of the states in internet technology. We basically haven’t upgraded our crap since it was first invented. Where I live only businesses are allowed the fastest internet connections. And my personal internet service limits my bandwidth based on how much everyone else in my area is using. Basically, we all share. So if a lot of my neighbors are downloading something, my connection slows down.

    People in the US pay a flat rate for unlimited broadband usage.I get broadband download speeds of 16mb unlimited any time every hour, day, week, and month for 30$/per month.Relative to Japan its too much, but comparing this to the UK or even worse Aus, i think its a good deal.
    Europe is not a country, the only European country with better broadband OVERALL country wide experience that I envy is Finland and Sweden.(when factoring:minimum, maximum, and average speeds ratio;bang for the dollar/cost vs usage limitations vs aveg speeds; and accessibility to it that encompasses to WHOLE country not just city centers).

    the other 2 countries in the whole world better is SK and Japan.Japan is the example I would want to emulate. One of the reasons why Japan has the highest internet speeds in the world at cheap prices – telecommunication wires are mostly above ground in residential areas and are easy to install.Size of the country. Population concentration.
