Devil May Cry 4-RELOADED

Wow, well this was really unexpected, I actually didn’t even have any idea that this was going to be released on PC, but I’m a huge Devil May Cry fan so I’ll be checking this out. I got the first game for the PS2 ages ago and just loved the atmosphere of the game along with the interesting combat system (using both guns and sword at the same time etc). Its been relatively cold on major PC game releases lately, but this definitely spices up the “market” a bit. Dante is back baby! Read NFO for installation notes. Enjoy.

Long ago the Dark Knight Sparda rebelled against the dark emperor and waged a one-man war to save humanity. Thousands of years later, a religious organization worships this renowned savior and has taken it upon themselves to rid the world of all evil. Residing in Fortuna, this organization is known as the “Order of the Sword,” and is made up of an elite group of “Holy Knights.”

One day a young knight named Nero witnesses Sparda’s legendary son Dante slaughter his fellow warriors. Has the renowned devil hunter turned his back on mankind? What does this encounter mean for these two individuals?

In Devil May Cry 4, players control the formidable Nero who comes to grips with his newly found power as his beliefs and allegiance are tested. Continuing the legacy of fast paced action synonymous with the series, Devil May Cry 4 pushes the envelope of excellence even further with the inclusion of a new combat system that incorporates Nero’s “Devil Bringer.” This new feature has players delivering overwhelming damage to enemies with non-stop combos, while gaining new power for Nero’s right arm.

    Finished this game a couple of weeks ago…It isnt my favorite of the series but i welcomed the change of having two protagonists.

    ONE THING! DMC has reached a CHEESINESS LEVEL beyond saving but still luv it…:)

    The demo is excellent and capcom did a fine job for porting. Btw Resident Evil 5 is coming to pc and being done they same port as this… So Hats off to Capcom :D

    If the game crashes when you attempt to run it your problem is most likely that your graphic cards pixel shader version is too low to run it. If your still running version PS ver 1.0 or 2.0 you will need a new card to run this and most of the newer games.

    Pretty much perfect port!
    especially considering the shambles that was the port of DMC 3

    First of all the console version is out since february. Second of all this is NOT a port, yes the console versions were out earlyer but DMC4 is multiplatform, that means they developed the game for PC too, they did not port it after it was developed for the consoles, it is not emulated in any way its a normal PC game which is actually superior to its console counterparts, because it uses the PC’s superior resources, and it has additional features. So download away and have fun :)

    I wonder the same thing. The only site I’ve found a free unlimited download is Megaupload with their Happy Hour premium that lets you download as much as you want from like 10PM-3AM. Never seen anything similar with Rapidshare and yet links for Rapidshare are so easy to find here while Megaupload is a rarity. Do people here pay for Rapidshare premium or is there some free method for them?

    @120 There’s an easy fix if you think mega upload needs a lookin Upload the files to megaupload yourself and post the links here. None of the links are put up by the site they are put up by peeps in the releaselog community and reflect the services those uploaders have a sub to.
    T’other day this site was accussed of deleting or censoring rapidshare links now the opposite.
    Usually peeps prefer the methods which have the easiest straighforward and as anon as poss method of uploading.

    Maybe that is why peeps prefer rapidshare cause uploading is easier but it could just as easily be that it has been around for longer than many others so it has become more popular and although rapidshare are quick to delete links reported as copyright breaches they also leave other stuff up for months and months and months. many other services delete uploads much sooner.

    I can’t help you with how to get any free premium rapidshare accounts, I have to pay for mine too, but I wish I’d heard about the Unlimited downloading thing at Megaupload before I’d purchased rapidshare and I probably would have thought twice before signing up.

    This doesn’t work for me. When I try and start the game it comes up with a D3DERR_INVALIDCALL error and then exits. My machine is a Q6600 with an 8800GT so it should be plenty powerful enough. Oh well.

    Hmmm. It crashes for me after a few minutes of playing… It just gives the ‘don’t send’ error and crashed to the desktop… since the demo worked fine im thinking the crack is messed up again (AMD x2 6000+ 2gb RAM 8800 GT) Allthough it might be just me so… yeah.     To all of you who have problems starting the game with D3DERR_INVALIDCALL:

    Right-click shortcut –> Compatibility: check Run in 640×480.
    Start the game…..hey it works…..set resolution, set everything you need. Exit the game. Right-click shortcut –> Compatibility: uncheck Run in 640×480.

    And the game will run fine.

    good game, but something is itching the back of my head: who in the world is Nero and why does the information about the game say you have the ability to control him and such? in the pictures you can actually see Dante, not this Nero guy… so, wtf is going on? is it Dante or Nero or did the game producer screw up the names or did they make Nero look exactly like Dante for some reason? please, explain it to me…

    @202, 203, i get that for the megashare links on the 1st page too… first a Data12.cab corrupt, 1335 error followed by a 23-sumthing error if you ignore that 1st one… i tried googling it, and many solutions were offered, mostly relating to Windows Installer, none worked for me…

    Do the rapidshare links have that error too?

    Hmm. The damn game crashes during random cutscenes… Its absolutely random and only during cutscenes, and even there at random times sometimes at the beginning sometimes at the end or whatever, if i skip the cutscenes theres no problem but since they are the coolest things in the whole game its pretty pointless without them. Does any1 else has this problem?

    this is what im talking about, they charge people to sign up to download trainers, then it crashes the game, then to come up with some half assed explanation that they cant possible test the trainer against all the setups.

    ok, more updates on the +8 trainer..
    the unlimited skill points option works only for nero, not for dante.
    unfortunately, cheathappens updated their members-only trainers to rectify this prob so dante can have unlimited skill points to spend on as well..

    sheesh.

    guess the august 9th date is when they finally solved all the bugs..

    btw, do not start a mission with the unlimited skill points option activated. just activate it, then spend the points on nero, then exit to main menu and save. then quit game, quit trainer, restart game without trainer (if u’re only wanting the 999999 skill points..) if u want the red orbs, i suggest u do that too to avoid crashing.

    havent tried to health option yet tho, thats for tmr.. gonna get me some shut-eye now.

    Try lowering the hardware acceleration for your sound card to “basic acceleration”. I had the same audio problems with assassin’s creed (haven’t changed my settings since).

    The game runs like it is on meth. It seems like its in fast forward the voices are all normal and such, but everything else is waay to fast (i do not have turbo on). Any tips on what is up? amd 4800+ 8800 gts 4gig 6400ram. should be good to go.

    To anyone who has the same no voice problem as me, the solution is to change the speaker setup to Stereo Speakers (2.1) instead of Surround (5.1 or more).
    The voice will then plays fine.
    ;)

    In addition, lowering the hardware acceleration for your sound card didn’t work for me.

    I’ve tested F1 or infinite health and I think it works, the others I’m not so sure. F4 will crash the game immediately. I’m using the Cheathappens Promo Demo for the Kill Timer and it works with infinite health from the German one at the same time.

    I have the same problem with the cutscenes. In the cutscene where that woman is beating some monsters in the ice, the game closes randomly.

    I don’t think the problem is in the crack, because this problem also occured on the demo version.

    Specs are:
    Intel C2D E6420, 3gb ram, 9600GT (Forceware 175.19), Windows XP, Everything Maxed without Vsync.

    this game works fine for me 1280×1024x32 max everything except no aa and no vsync, min fps on performance test was 69.

    vista x64 dx10 version. any sign of a non emulated crack or whatever? would be nice to maintain this framerate when i move to a 22″ monitor and 1680×1050.

    I have the 175.16 drivers and it still crashes all the time.

    I wrote up a huge thing on it but it’s not letting me post what’s wrong. AA doesn’t make a difference, V-Sync doesn’t make a difference, and my computer isn’t the problem (Unless the 175.16 drivers are also faulty.

    Not sure what problems some of you guys are getting.

    The fix for the D3DERR_Invalid call fatal error is to set the compatibily on the shortcut to make it 640*480 then later change it in game.

    If you have an AMD cpu, does it support SSE2? Which DMC4 requires.

    If you have a codec pack installed, do you have any broken codecs that might stop the movies being played.

    Have you installed XP SP3 or all the recent B**LSH*T updates.

    Try turning the shader/texture/AA/ settings down.

    Another cutscene crash fix seems to be this and may fix other things is to open your C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Local Settings\Application Data\capcom\DEVILMAYCRY4 folder. (You’ll need to go into your Folder Settings beforehand to make sure you can see hidden files/folders otherwise you won’t be able to find this directory). From there, open up config.ini and find the line that says SLI. If you are not running TWO graphics cards in SLI configuration, change this from ON to OFF and save the changes.

    I haven’t read all the posts so i am sorry if some or all of these solutions have been already posted here.

    I couldn’t find the folder specified for the SLI Config. It’s not in my application data.

    Even though you said 175.16 were more stable, I’m going to try and update them to the 175.19 to see if it gets worse or improves. It’s still crashing, I’m especially pissed at DMC4 right now because it crashed again at the worst possible time. (Mission 7 boss AGAIN, except this time it literally only needed one more hit to die.)

    Do you have show hidden files/folders enabled ?
    If you have, do a file search for config.ini in the documents and settings folder and include subfolders and hidden/protected files. Config.ini should be there in the capcom\DEVILMAYCRYFOLDER.

    No, I’m not using vista, and no I’m not getting errors like that. It just BSOD’d most of the time.

    I’ve gone through mission 7 and 8 with no problem so far after installing 175.19 drivers. I also saw that under my Nvidia controls anisotropic filtering was turned on to x8, after turning that to “Application” along with the installation of the new drivers it’s been running smooth.

    It doesn’t look as good without AA or AS but at least it runs so far. Hopefully I didn’t jynx it. :[

    I’m about to give up. AA is off, AS, is off, SLI is off, nothing works. This game is poorly programmed and I’m having a hard time enjoying it. It crashes at almost during all cutscenes and boss battles. It’s just ridiculous.

    Sorry Xavon, wait for an official patch or a cracked patch for this game. Course you could always take it back if you paid for it !

    If you are using the NVidia Control Panel, make sure Anistropic Filtering/Antialiasing are on application controlled. Also make sure that Vertical Sync is NOT forced on. If it is change it to LET THE 3D APPLICATION DECIDE. You can change this in the Advanced options section of the NVidia Control Panel under the Manage 3D settings panel.

    Failing that could you turn OFF VSync in the game (after using the control panel to set it to 3D application decides) and say if you still get problems.

    Don’t turn it back to super-high settings as it assumes you have SLI and turns the SLI option back on in config.ini

    I’m going to attempt playing one more time. My Nvidia control panel kept freezing when I tried going to 3D options (Which I already tried before you mentioned it.) It took at least 10 minutes or so but it came up, it still had Anisotropic and AA turned on, so I turned them off (again.) Hopefully they’ll stay off and the game will perform normally without crashes, if not then it’s the games programming that’s FUBAR.

    I found the config.ini issue with SLI myself and tweaking it (setting to OFF) worked for me. No more crashes in the cutscenes. Btw, there’s a setting “HDR=MEDIUM” even when you set everything to super high in the game settings. Probably worth changing to HIGH, however I didn’t notice much change.

    This program might help you, Xavon, but if you do use it, USE IT WITH CARE.

    Its called Driver Cleaner Pro 1.5 and is very good for cleaning driver files that you think were gone when you uninstalled the driver but actually weren’t and may clog up the system and cause conflicts with your new drivers.

    Do a google search for it and see what people say about it.

    If, after reading about it you decide you wan’t to use it to clean out your graphics card driver, you can download Driver Cleaner Pro 1.5 from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/other_tools/driver_cleaner_pro.cfm.

    There is a newer version of course, but it’s not free.

    Install it but don’t run it, yet.

    Uninstall your NVidia driver. When it asks you to reboot, let it reboot but go into safe mode when it restarts.

    If it finds new hardware just cancel the found new hardware wizards.

    Run the Driver Cleaner program and remove everything related to NVIDIA ONLY, not NVIDIA WDM unless you have Vivo on your graphics card, and not NVIDIA Stereo cause you probably don’t have a 3D stereo capable monitor and you said you weren’t using Vista.

    Reboot afterwards to normal windows when it has finished.

    Disable Antivirus/Antispyware Programs and Reinstall your nvidia drivers again.

    Have you ever tried using a decent disk defragger such as Perfect Disk (Try before you buy) or Auslogic Disk Defragger (Good, Free and Fast).

    Run a full checkdisk before you use them, though.

    Or maybe CCleaners Registry cleaner?

    Use Smart Defrag with Perfectdisk if you use it.

    Perfectdisk is miles better than windows own defragger.

    WARNING!!! I got a ton of viruses after installing the game. I’m not even sure it was even installed cause I can’t even see my start menu or C drive! So be damn warned I am so pissed off right now after waiting to download this game and now I’m infected with god knows how many viruses and I don’t know if my passwords have been stolen or my data deleted or WHAT GOD I”M PISSED!

    I am even more pissed! This is one tough virus! It hijacks internet explorer, firefox won’t even start. Regedit won’t work. My start menu is gone, task manager is disabled. My C and D drives are gone. It pops up every minute asking to do a full scan, then every webpage redirects to some scam “anti-virus” site. So, i use -extoff when starting IE to disable addons, that stops the redirects. I try to get some anti-virus software, only to find out those websites are blocked! but download.com is not blocked so I get it from there, only I can’t update any virus definitions for any of the software. And this is a new virus because it’s not showing up with the old definitions. The only software I found that can detect my virus, which is called “Vista Anti-Virus 2008″, is Spy Hunter 3, it detects it but won’t remove it unless I buy it! And I can’t find it on pirate anywhere! ARRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Now i’m really pissed. No antivirus/malware/spyware software can remove this damned virus. NONE! The most they can do is detect it. Removal does nothing, it simply puts itself back on. I can’t even remove it manually, and I’m an expert when it comes to stuff like this. This OS isn’t even worth salvaging, windows is now corrupted beyond repair. Guess I’ll have to spend all day reformatting… damn rlslog and damn piratebay!

    Ok John, don’t panic.

    If you have system restore on just use it to restore the system to before you had the Vista Antispyware 2008 program appeared, if not follow these instructions.

    Use the instructions and the program I suggest you to use with extreme care, but it will remove Vista Antispyware 2008.

    Download Smitfraudfix from here http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe

    If you cannot download it, start in safe mode with networking. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task manager and Click File, New Task, Run, EXPLORER.EXE and you should have access to the internet again. If you have Firefox, use safe mode and download the file from the location above.

    If you cannot do either, go to a friend with internet or your local internet cafe and download the file from there.

    When you have the smitfraudfix file and you are still in safe mode, Double-click on the SmitfraudFix.exe icon then follow the screen instructions. Option #2 should be selected in this case.

    When you are prompted with “Do you want to clean the registry ?”, simply answer “Y”.

    Reboot.

    I know this is a Devil May Cry 4 Game thread, and not a pc repair discussion but I hope this helps you.

    Thanks for the advice TooCoolToRule. I searched for the infected torrent and could not find any links to it here. Originally I found it on pirate bay but it has been removed there, it is now only at btmon.com, search RLD-dmc4, it has these files:
    /Crack/Devil_MayCry4_DX10.exe 7.1 Mb
    /Crack/Devil_MayCry4_DX9.EXE 7.1 Mb
    /reloaded.nfo 4.2 Kb
    /rld-dmc4.iso 7.5 Gb
    When I first got it, I autoran the iso (after burning it on a dvd-9 doh!) then XP gave me a message saying use Add/Remove Programs to change Windows components. After that I instead ran setup.exe in the root directory of the iso. That started the installer and I installed normally. The problems started immediately after installation finished. So don’t be dumb like me and make a mistake! I removed the offending programs with a combination of Process Explorer, Filemon and BackTrack 3, got Windows acting normally again only to find out Notepad.exe had been corrupted and who knows what else so I just decided to format and start again. Windows is much faster now :) Anyway thanks again for trying to help me TooCoolToRule.

    the game loox awesome and plays above average.i get 55-70fps in 2560×1600 with dual 4850s and qx6700.i just wonder when the fuk are the capcom mor0ns gonna learn modern pc games use a mouse to control the camera. Awkward cam movement takes all the fun from this otherwise gr8 game

    What version Deamon tools you using, NewBie?
    You may also need your DirectX updating.
    Try gettin the last Redistributable copy from M*c*os*ft.

    There must be a few fakes of this flying about by now.

    I downloaded it from the original torrent on private trackers.

    You should have an nfo file called reloaded.nfo
    You should have rld-dmc4.r00 – rld-dmc4.78 and rld-dmc4.rar
    You should also have rld-dmc4.sfv.
    You should have NO OTHER FILES at this point! ESPECIALLY NOTHING TO DO WITH A CRACK!
    When you unrar the files you should get ONE file rld-dmc4.iso and nothing else. When you mount the iso with Daemon Tools to a virtual drive, the crack should be in a folder on the virtual drive with the game.

    I have created and uploaded for you all an MD5 checksum of the original release here :-

    Next, you’ll need an MD5 creator/verifier. I used the latest version of MD5summer from http://www.md5summer.org/ (Beta version 1.2.0.11)

    Load up my rld-dmc4.md5 file and verify it against your rld-dmc4.iso file and if it fails verification then you have a fake/altered iso file. If your iso file is NOT called rld-smc4.iso then rename it so and try again.

    Hope this helps us weed out the fakes!

    that is hardware limitation no software will let you have a pixel shader 3.0, you will need a new video card, and since that video card of yours still uses the old AGP slot, you might end up buying a new computer system..

    pixel shader 3.0 (if im not wrong) are available to nvidia’s 6 series and above..

    i saw the minimum req of processor and it said 3GHz and my processor is AMD athlon(tm processor LE-1600, MMX, 3DNow, only 2.2GHz…is this qualified? I know 2.2GHZ is low compare to the minimum I want to know if this ok?
