I really hope the American people will make the wise choice and elect Obama. It seems that the average McCain supporter is either a religious freak, a racist, or a misinformed person (no, Obama will not raise your taxes but McCain promises to make you pay taxes on your employer’s health care plan).

The rest of the world will soon start holding the American people accountable for electing such dangerous leaders. You see, with great power come great responsabilities. It is time for a much needed change and that change simply can’t happen under a Republican government.

Biden was one of only four U.S. senators invited to a champagne reception in celebration of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act hosted by the MPAA’s Jack Valenti, the RIAA, and the Business Software Alliance.

it’s true that few Americans will cast their votes in November based on what the vice presidential candidate thinks of copyright law. But his pro-copyright views don’t exactly jibe with what Obama has promised; he’s pledged to “update and reform our copyright and patent systems to promote civic discourse, innovation and investment while ensuring that intellectual property owners are fairly treated.”

Well then, Obama’s your man! #49 has the most comprehensive post but i like to judge a guy by his buddy’s. I cant believe you guys would vote for someone with extensive known relations to terrorists, felons and racists.

1.Tony Rezko – convicted of 16 felonies ie mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, soliciting bribes…

2.William Ayers – founder of “wethermen” responsible for 1970’s bombings including US capitol building and the Pentagon

3.Rashid Khalidi – past Director of the PLO press agency in beirut

4.Bernardine Dohrn – Responsible for bombings and declaring war on the US government.

5.Otis Moss (new pastor) – believes that the government purposely infected the black with AIDS?

6.James Meeks – frequently uses “n-word” in his sermons and refers to the white population as “slave masters”

7.Jeremiah Wright – do I even have to go in to this one?… “US of KKK-A” ???

Change the name of the White House
    crazy thinking
    Part of history
Living in the UK we have places Blackburn Blackpool Isle of Wight etc these could never be renamed
In regards to the US election have not been following it but if like the UK no real difference in the parties like years gone by used to have labour behind the unions now they have shafted them the several different parties in the UK keep coming up with different objectives for the UK who ever gets in here then proceeds to nick the other parties ideas with slightly different wording.
If you think about it what about Big Ben

I can’t hope to know what Obama knows or what he will get done. ‘Before he got into politics he was as broke as the rest of us. Afterwards and certainly after he started running for president of the United States, his income rose from under $100K as an instructor, senator, and volunteer. After he began running about 20 months ago, he penned a book and now he has a home estimated at about $2MK and as much in his pockets. McCain can simple say Barak- how can a man fix a country’s economy who has never worked in the private sector (senatorial work is of course part of the public sector). McCain could say I am a I think as a millionaire, I have made men millionaires because I know who they are, where they are, how they are, and how they became what they are. You, Obama spent the last 2 years running for President and the two before that working as a senator from Illinois (Chicago). Chicago politics has layers of corruption and poverty, and is still deeply influenced by some of the most old school and vocal men in the country. I am referring to Reverends Jeremiah Wright and Jessie Jackson, both of whom you had former close associations. Yet, your neatly written notes to yourself for speech deliveries point to me and to Washington. Are you simple using outstanding speech writings in which you mitigate your refusal to get the needed experience (sandbag) by exciting the masses to think the time for change is now? A couple points - We have the worst transfer of wealth because the US is spending in excess about $10B each month for two ongoing wars. That money comes from the middle class and has led to their recession. Without notable senatorial experience, no military experience, and without notable sizable personal wealth how is it that Barack feels he can push Hillary Clinton, other Democratic contenders, and the Republican Party to the side to become the Commander and Chief Executor of the United States. Taking from the rich is as bad for them as taking from the middleclass has led to their demise. Foreign policy is not Obama’s most significant weakness not taking your work home with you is.

#60 If your country is so great why do you feel the need to have a stage in american politics. By the way the “unfortunate” (i think lazy is a better word) in OUR society get free health care because our hospitals have to admit anyone regardless of ability to pay. The problem with OUR health care is in the courts, the FDA and in various restrictions and regulations on the sale of generic/cheaper drugs. Also if you were not such an ignorant postal worker you would realize that your tax rate is astronomical. so yes you’ve paid for the fillings and ct scan. retreat from OUR debate just like you did with the war on terror.

Lets also not forget that when Bill Clinton first ran for president the republicans said he was “inexperienced” like they’re saying about Obama now. But, look at all the good things Bill did when he joined office: a booming economy, plenty of jobs available, and a good relationship with the rest of the world. McCain said he “promised” to keep Bush’s policies if he’s elected to office(there’s a video of him saying that on the internet) so if he becomes the next president we can expect another 4 years of a sh*tty economy, high unemployment rate, more people losing their homes, and high gas prices while oil companies continue to stuff their pockets.

There is no way Obama will win. All the rednecks and god fearing southerners will vote for McCain, and there are plenty of them. I think most of the voters probably don’t even have internet access, so Obama’s popularity online means nothing.

  88. Vote Nader
    August 30th, 2008 | 18:22

Ralph Nader for U.S. President 2008!
    http://www.votenader.org

“America is not the First World. America is not the Third World. America is the Fourth World, the richest country with the poorest people.” These are Ralph Nader’s words. He spoke to 4,000 people at the Magness Arena at the University of Colorado in Denver. He is running for President with Matt Gonzalez for Vice President.

“Everything we love about America came from third parties,” he said. “Abolition of slavery, The First Amendment…” He is impatient with those who stand apart from the political process, who feel they can’t make a difference, so why try, or who feel that politics is dirty.

Six powerless women met in Seneca Falls to demand women have the vote. Industrial interests did not want women to have the vote. They knew women would end child labor, which was profitable then, just as shipping our jobs to communist or fascist dictatorships is profitable today, said Nader. Those suffragists had no power; they took power, just as Americans must take power today.

The majority of Americans want everything he wants for the country, said Nader. Those things are free universal health care, an end to the bloated and corruption-prone defense budget, an end to torture, restoring the Constitution and an end to corporate control of our government.

America is the only Western democracy with a “pay or die medical system” and that is a mark of shame on America, he said.

Anyone who is even CONSIDERING McCain/Palin needs to think again.

If ANYONE knows ANYTHING about McCain, it is that he gets irritated easily. He will support wars that shouldn’t be happening in the first place.

It would be a DEGRADATION from the Bush Administration!

And if tragedy were to fall upon McCain, who’d be there to take over? Not only another supposedly aggressive character, but someone who has next to no credentials through the worlds eyes, the US will walk a path of destruction and will ultimately fall beacuse of their own peoples choice.

Just don’t be an idiot and vote for someone OTHER than McCain/Palin

Obama is the lessor of 2 evils…so if McCain is 90% evil then Obama is 70%…still a losing proposition.
