I specd and priced several options before deciding to purchase this pc. I live off-grid for 10 years now and POWER MATTERS. The specs compare very well with laptops that cost 50 to 100% more and it uses much less power. It is very quite, uses very little desk space and looks good. it is on a sturdy stand, no it does not fall over. I am no moron, have been programming before most of you were born (since 1972). I have used many different systems, laptops, Apples and still do. I think it’s a good deal unless you have time to waste on moronic games and money to waste on power hungry video cards and don’t give a dam about environmental issues.
May you suffer lots of power failures.

LOL at the idiots who think wood = not green. You think plastic is green? just what the world needs; more petrochemicals. Cutting down trees isn’t the best idea in the world but certainly better than polluting the world with more petrochems.

LOL at the idiots who think that 99% of the population need any higher spec than offered by this PC – nerds with their 2-4 graphics cards are a very small (and very BO smelling) minority of PC users.

Idiots who think they are too “PC literate”/poweruser to use something like this are the best!

“Green is right” if you’re quite done hurling insults around to compensate for your own feelings of inadequacy and general worthless existance – you’ll notice people, including me, pointed out the obvious. $1k for the specs they are offering is a RIP OFF. You can get a FAR more capable computer for half that price. This is a bad deal end of story.

Oh and I doubt there’s anything special about this computer. It probably has an efficient power supply and that’s it. You can buy 80%+ efficient PSUs seperately if you so wish.

You’re just being fooled into paying a lot more for a lot less hardware, in the disguise of saving the planet. In short you’re being conned.

But don’t let that stop you spending $1,000 in order to protect your self righteous ego while the rest of us laugh at how you just burned your money and Dell just profiteered at your gullibility.

looks like this thing looks more like a toy box for little kids, when I looked at it at first, I thought I could just tap on the front thing so that it would fall out from the back (probably that’s not the case, but hey, it’s Dell, it’s always crap that falls apart when you look at it. LOL). Seriously, in my eyes this is a plastic toy or something

Compare it to the new desktop Mac, it looks steady as hell, and not at all like a plastic toy. I would know, I’m using one right now!
Software is steady, I don’t have any problems with running Leopard or did I have with Tiger or any other like Jaguar, etc. It’s stylish, and it works perfect, not for n00bs, Mac is for people who actually can think logically!
Windows is for n00bs, who STILL can’t think logically!

And Mac is actually a money saver, once you got one you can use it for years. A Dell falls apart every so often (so it makes you buy a new one after you had this for like 6 months?maybe?) and you need to fix those virusses all the time… doesn’t that get annoying? Time is money, right?

Besides looking like it would tip over easily (as sleazy joe mentioned), the rounded top means that you can’t put anything on top of them. I have one of my speakers as well as some other stuff on top of mine.

Unless you order an extra stand and put it on top…
