Defcon v1.42 WinAll Cracked-CRD

Now here’s a game that everyone should play, called Defcon: Everybody dies it is a real-time strategy game that allows you to control the Nuclear arsenal of one of six territory’s. Released by group CRUDE (often abbreviated to CRD) this morning. This group usually release Card and Sudoko type stuff but as i was looking through there releases i saw this little Gem. Defcon is heavily influenced by movies such as WarGames and Fail-Safe and is set sometime during the cold war. It uses a very stylized presentation that gives the impression of 80’s Vector graphics, something that a person in a Silo would be staring at. The death toll in a typical “round” runs into the millions for all sides and the game represents these deaths in very cold way, just through an ever rising counter. The winner is whoever survives with the lowest death toll. The game does a great job of making you feel like your in a Silo, through the music, sound effects and graphics.

Already released by group PSYFER a while back but here we have the updated version which includes bug fixes and small number of new features. The main focus of this game is only multiplayer but there is A.I. so you can play by yourself. The included crack disables the connection to official servers but direct play using I.P. still works so you can still challenge each other. At well under 100mb this game is well worth the download and it wont kill your bandwidth. In the included Cracktro CRUDE say they want to keep this release in the scene but this game is worth sharing! Works great though, thanks fellas! :P

BTW they have a very nice NFO, don’t you agree?

DEFCON is an online, competitive, multiplayer strategy game based around the theme of global thermonuclear war. The game, inspired by the 1983 cult-classic Wargames, superbly evokes the tension, paranoia and suspicion surrounding the Cold War era. The player assumes the role of a General hidden deep within an underground bunker, his mission being to successfully exterminate the enemy’s civilian population whilst simultaneously disabling the enemy’s ability to retaliate. Desperate attempts must be made to form fast, tactical alliances - alliances that may at any moment break-down to become treacherous and very deadly betrayals.

System Requirements:

  • Pentium 3 Processor 600 MHz
  • 128 MB RAM
  • 32MB Video Card
  • 60 MB Hard Drive
  • Internet connection (for multiplayer games)

I love those crappy games, reminds me of that hacker game… UPLINK I think.

PS: Just checked, both games are from the same creators.

Excuse me, but this game is amazing. Introversion is one of the coolest groups in the business these days.

Uplink’s a pretty good game, I’d just like to say, and this is a pretty good game too…

What exactly makes it crappy? The fact that it doesn’t have graphics that requires an 8800GTX? The fact that it doesn’t have endless key combinations to do things?

I mean, I play Warcraft III, WoW, and I appreciate Uplink and Defcon.

@derren32: Notepad++ does a nice job with nfos, even though it doesn’t jpg-ify it, it makes sure all the line breaks are correct.

@Shiny — if it’s released for internal and they want to keep it int, it is really right to release it? I mean, granted, it’s a great game, but you should at least let them sit on it for a week before publease.

I love the atmosphere of the game, the music is great and it still gives me the shivers when the nuke launch detections appear.

  6. May 31st, 2007 | 21:16

The whole scene wants to keep scene stuff within the scene, this is no different than every other torrent. simple.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?

This game is so cool I just went to the Inter vision website and bought it, Heck it was only $19.50!

This game rocks! I would love to see a more advanced version from a major developer.

  18. May 31st, 2007 | 23:26

    “What exactly makes it crappy?”

Well, the graphics. I don’t mean 3D effects and stuff like that. A good gaming experience is provided by nice graphics, different landscapes, enemies with different behavior or charisma, etc…

Uplink is a very good get, don’t get me wrong, but geez, do you remember when you had to hack personal files from different companies? All the guys had the same picture in their file (there were about 15 pictures maybe).

And the gameplay was repetitive, like those internet games we all enjoy very much, Luxor, Zuma, Diamonds, Bejewelled, etc… They’re good games to kill some time, but crappy games if you have to invest $25 on them.

Anyway, good games are not only GeForce graphics (Monkey Island 1 for instance) but they have a scenario, a good soundtrack, and give the player the opportunity to confront different situations. Which is not the case for Uplink or Defcon.

Someone should make Vitality and Hatred sort out their “nuke wars” on this game, instead of through their nfos.

    @terapix;

” “What exactly makes it crappy?”

Well, the graphics. I don’t mean 3D effects and stuff like that. A good gaming experience is provided by nice graphics, different landscapes, enemies with different behavior or charisma, etc…”

are you kidding me?! Either you’re below the age of 20 or you just don’t have the knowledge of design and pure and simple gaming pleasure.

People who judge a game on their graphics are below any meaningful discussion on my end.

Granted, I haven’t played this latest release but i have played all the previous releases.. and they all rocked.
Maybe not in your adolescent view of, if it doesn’t look good, it must be nothing.

People like you sadden me, and makes me realize that the gaming industry nowadays is nothing more then releasing game
after game based on the same old principle.

I could go on, but i’m afraid it’s wasted energy.

what a freaky game. i saw this other game once where america, my country, erupted in civil war and the EU invaded to conquer the americas. LOL yea rite like that would ever happen. This game is just like that one lol
the difference between this and uplink was uplink was believably realistic. ;P

Did anyone else download this from here? I got it from the dlNova site, and when I try to unRaR it, it says the r00 file is missing!? Did anyone else have this problem? It won’t let me unpack all the folders until I “put in a CD” with the r00 file on it. I’m really confused, and really want to play this game. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  29. June 1st, 2007 | 10:39

Did you copy the crack over?

  30. TREXX
    June 1st, 2007 | 11:05

    Uplink…realistic…lol.

BTW you know the US Army have the ability to nuke all the major cities with a few codes a buttons?

Theres USA nuke subs everywhere that allow them to reach everywhere.

It is realistic. Ever heard of the peacekeeper?

  31. Mehrdad1
    June 1st, 2007 | 11:46

Shiny: I can’t copy anything over, because I can’t get all the files unRARed first. It tells me I’m missing a file, “r00.” If you could leave me the steps that you’ve used to play this, I would be very grateful to you. Thanks again.

Worthwhile game. Don’t be quick to judge this game yet without trying it out. At first I thought it was bland but after playing abit of it I got hooked =3

  33. June 1st, 2007 | 18:32

    @ spaceballs.no

People like YOU sadden me. I’m not judging a game by its graphics my friend.
I’m talking about graphical diversity, and other components of that game. “And the gameplay was repetitive”.

Read the whole stuff and try to understand the whole meaning before commenting such nonsense. BTW, I’m a 21 y/o GRAPHIC DESIGNER.

Thanks so much DEFCON! Believe it or not, I’m not a total noob, but I have no idea what I was doing wrong. That guide was perfect. Thanks again for all of your help.

  36. June 2nd, 2007 | 02:27

@ TREXX bragging at how many nukes a country has is a completly void argument, it only takes one nuke to go of one time from any country to set of a chain and then sooner or later everyones dead, i think this game illustrates this perfectly.

Anyone else have this problem, but for my on my pc it just pauses for 5-10 seconds at a time then runs for a few seconds before freezing again, this goes on the entire times its running makes it unplayable
    Im using
    4200+ AMD64×2
    1gb ram

    Jimmy.

You say its lagging heavily. Try turning off line smoothing. I know it sounds like nothing but it was the difference between a choppy game and a working game. Dont make any guarantees though that it will work. Just a thought. I have an integrated chipset.
