Group SEPTiC pred a movie named “Deception” in HDRiP yesterday. The movie is a 2008 drama-romance-thriller film directed by Marcel Langenegger, written by Mark Bomback. The rating in IMDB doesn’t look good for this movie. But anyway, if you are interested, just check it out.

Can someone tell me why SEPTiC always set their HD resolution to 1280 x 528 instead of 1280 x 544? 1280 x 528 works out to an aspect ratio of 2.42 whereas 1280 x 544 is the correct resolution to produce a 2.35 aspect ratio. In other words, SEPTiC’s rips are always 3% overstretched horizontally… and yet they never get nuked. I always check sample images from their stuff and resize to 1280 x 544. Then you realize the stretch is there (just look at the faces). Problem is, most people can tell a 6% stretch, but don’t notice a 3% stretch. But with SEPTiC, it’s always there.
Net result for me… I groan when it’s SEPTiC, but DL it anyway… and then go through the pain of re-encoding (i.e. set the vertical to 544).
I just cannot believe that I’m the only one to see this. You guys must be blind!
