Death Proof DVDRip XviD-DMT

Here is it… Quentin Tarantino’s “Death Proof”! It’s one of the two movies, from movie duel “Grindhouse”. First one is “Planet Terror” directed by Robert Rodriguez. Do we really need to say more? ;-) It’s high quality 2CD DVDRip. Enjoy it! Edit: (Mr. X) Fixed incorrect video bitrate value. Update Oct 27: I can’t believe but for the longest time we’ve had the Planet Terror promo image instead of the Death Proof one. Fixed!

Plot: Master director Quentin Tarantino (PULP FICTION) indulges his inner fanboy by paying homage to his favorite B-movies in DEATH PROOF. Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) stalks beautiful women with his deadly vintage car, but when he picks a trio of tough girls (Rosario Dawson, Tracie Thoms, and Zoe Bell), he learns they aren’t such easy prey. As with any Tarantino film, there are plenty of nods to pop culture. Most of the scenes are deliberately short on plot development, the dialogue comes thick and fast throughout, and the film stock is often cleverly manipulated to perfectly replicate the B-movie aesthetic. DEATH PROOF was originally released as part of the GRINDHOUSE double feature with Robert Rodriguez’s PLANET TERROR.

Awesome, been waiting a long time. I’m a big fan of Tarantino, so I was more partial to seeing this one, but can’t wait to get a hold of Planet Terror as well.

Also, I saw on Orlydb that Bob Saget’s stand up was released the other day by PROD, but I can’t find the torrent anywhere. Anyone know where I can find it?

    yepp ch0ke….

Both being sold seperatly but each are going to be looonger being both Director Cuts. I imagine the trailors will be added in with the bonus material.

I was against the seperate releases at first but now I run with it. You KNOW Rodrig & Quentin are NOT going to screw the fans over. Sin City bonus disc contained ALL the green screen footage filmed!!!!!!!!

  16. lloyd
    August 30th, 2007 | 18:28

can some1 tell me why Orlydb says theres a r5 rls of shrek 3 from pukka?

  17. August 30th, 2007 | 18:28

    YES. Nice one.

It’s just the ‘Stuntman Mike’ film. Read the NFO.

    Thank you.

    August 30th, 2007 | 18:32

I am more eager to Planet Terror… Death Proof is a bit flat to me, especially it’s silly ending… This is not the best Tarantino film :/

  20. ABC
    August 30th, 2007 | 18:36

    Yeah.
    As LGx says..
Planet Terror is the best one of those movies, no doubt about it. PT is the shit and very funny and actionfilled.
DP is more like a long fucking conversation between a bunch of girls. About 80% of the movie is just talk about these girls about diffrent crap that doesnt matther and 20% is action. If its not less action. And the ending is pretty disapointing.

    August 30th, 2007 | 18:50

originally, grinhouse was to be divided into two parts, death proof and planet terror, separated by fake ads. but the idea was rejected, and it was divided into two distinct movies. death proof is the first one.

The TRAILERS are NOT BEING INCLUDED in either release.

If you think it through for one second you we’ll realize that the Weinsteins are going to double dip with a FULL GRINDHOUSE DVD containing both films and the faux trailers down the road. Grindhouse lost money at the box office and these is how they are going to recoup their losses. If you read DVD websites, they all detail how the TRAILERS are NOT BEING INCLUDED with either DEATHPROOF nor PLANET TERROR. The trailers will be the key incentive to buy the FULL GRINDHOUSE DVD.

  31. ABC
    August 30th, 2007 | 19:00

a dot c: The only thing that connects the movies is a little radio-message in Planet Terror, which informs of what have happend to a girl in the Death Proof.
No other connection. Completley diffrent movies.
DP is very much talk and little action.
PT is just pure gore action, but in a funny way.

Due to USA box officefailure, the original Grindhouse was sliced, and Panet Terror was the first one, not Death Proof. They were both released in Europe in extended, aka. kind of directors’ cut versions. This is the full release, without the hilarious trailers. So will Planet Terror also be released.

    August 30th, 2007 | 19:41

LGx … deathproof on dvd has a different ending which is actually good so they say… im going to get this and death proof when they get released on here but im going to buy the dvd that have both movies that come w/ it next year… i think it gets released in dec. or jan. if i can remember ..

  38. lettamayne
    August 30th, 2007 | 19:42

i mean that deathproof has a alternate ending in the special features… not on the original cut

  39. monade
    August 30th, 2007 | 19:42

By the way, Releaselog show a picture/scene from Planet Terror, and not Death Proof.

  40. August 30th, 2007 | 19:42

I was gonna buy this, I loved this movie, but I never nor will never think of it as 2 movies, and releasing it as 2 dvd’s ruins the whole “grindhouse” experience the movie was going for. I wonder what quentin and robert think about this? I read the making of and the reason they did them together is because they wanted you to have the experience of being at a drive in… so I guess I will wait for them to be released together, in the end I hope it hurts sales.

  41. August 30th, 2007 | 19:42

LOL, some of you are asking some fucking dumb questions about this release. IMDB much? They even gave you a link to IMDB. Or just d/l and watch the fucker.

It was said that it would be included on the DVD but whether it appears in the actual movie or as a Special Feature is really the question.

Just skimmed through the comments, so is Death Proof the first movie shown in the full feature? And apart from that little radio message someone mentioned, both movies are seperate and can be watched invidually?

Being me, I’m just going to wait for a rip of Planet Terror too so I can still capture some sense of watching a grindhouse like feature in one night, hehe.

death proof was absolutely horrible, I must say because of it, I will never watch anything quentin tarantino again. how the hell did those 2 ugly broads, an ape(r dawson), and the dyke (that other chick)kill kurt russell and turn him from badass to sissy. The best looking girl there was left at that farmers house. all in all, watch planet terror only, death proof will leave you disapointed and your soul crushed that such a unruinable concept -stunt driver who kills chicks with his car- could be made into a peice of shit, HOW COULD YOU GO WRONG WITH THIS?! well, tarantino did.

planet terror on the other hand, is probably the best action/comedy horror, movie in recent memory

Most of Tarantino’s movies are about dialog, characters, set up and outbursts of violence. And of course he turns in to a pussy, he’s only confident and deadly when he’s the Hunter; it’s a pretty straight forward psychological profile.

    August 30th, 2007 | 21:46

    Ok lets recap..

Its a shame that no one GOT the idea behind these two movies being shown together at the flics.

For one its great value and reminds me of the old days when you went to the pictures saw a supporting feature before the main movie with trailers etc and it took ages.

To split these up into two movies and release this way defeats the whole purpose and style and fun.

Of course rather than give us the chance to experience the thing properly they cut them to pieces for dvd and ruin it.

Of course on day we will get this as a box set for the non Wallmart crowd who have even the tiniest bit of knowledge about movies.

Until that time im happy to see what ever groovy person uploads for us.

As for the lazy bastard remark – I dont want a dvd copy nor do most people.

Burning onto cd as a vcd is a much better idea than burning a dvd.

For a start a dvd is a much bigger file and takes longer to download and then burn.
The vcd can be easily ripped to mpeg later using isobuster.
Its not a quick to do this with dvds and why would you when someone has already done it once?

When the dvd comes out in the edition I want I`ll happily buy it.

I prefer releases to be in two parts or two cds as mentioned here…

If a dvd is ripped to .avi then surely its better to have the film on two parts as this with achieve better quality than compressing into one .avi of say 750meg.

With bigger TV screen sizes this is a great idea as it allows bigger pixel sizes per file.

I don’t want to burn films to play on a dvd player as a lot of people don’t.

Thats why there are so many .avi files online.

So Im thanking the so called lazy bastards for ripping this and others into good quality files I can play on my divx player – Im greatful for someone saving me the hassle of wasting time with dvd burning or ripping to .avi.

Cheers for the upload and link..

  68. Yeah Yeah
    August 30th, 2007 | 21:48

Hey Just a noob Question what is the best way to join the two files and reduce the size down to the 700’s MB like most rips Ive tried different software but lost quality or the movie ends up out of sync anyway your help is much appreciated as well as this release THx

WoW. Sooo many mixed emotions out here! ;P

-Why would anyone who hates all Quentin movies come into this post?
-You CANNOT “capture” the GRINDHOUSE EXPERIENCE at home, on your pc or million dollar entertainment system. Google: Grindhouse
-Dont hate on the Directors! They would of loved to release as one. And, as mentioned, will someday. QT even talked about making this on ongoing affair; to pay homage to Grindhouses. Aaaand even making one of the trailors into a feature for a future Grindhouse release.

We KNOW Rodriguez AND Tarinto will NEVER disappoint on bonus features. They lead the game in bonus features! 10 minute cooking school? Download this, Planet Terror, buy Each DVD seperatly, And buy the Specail Collectors Edition with promo whatnots, and then the 5 Year Anniversary Edition!!!!!! Support 2 of the realest artists out here these days. C.R.E.A.T.I.V.I.T.Y. remember that?

“Burning onto cd as a vcd is a much better idea than burning a dvd.”

I dont know as much as some on this matter, but i know you are way wrong there. VCD is very low quality. DVD is much higher quality.

  80. August 30th, 2007 | 23:06

    @69 yeah yeah

use Virtual Dub if you only want 1 .avi out of the 2

or use WinAVI or VSO ConvertX to DVD if you want to merge 2 files to 1 DVD.

Google will find the rest of the info you need.

Who the F*** cares anyway? Just download this one and wait for the release of Planet Terror (which won’t take that long) and download that as well. Then watch them back to back. Now you will get the “grindhouse-experience” all you idiots want so bad.

Or better yet, don’t be a bum and just spend a few bucks to see this one in the movie theater.

For those of you who think they are Terantino afficianados, in other words nerds, who “really get his work”: don’t make me kick your asses!!! He makes trendy movies, nothing more.

Nice as a combo, not very good apart. You miss the experience. I saw the double in the US, than a lot later it came to europe and most reviewers and viewers did not agree with the split of the movie. It takes them out of context. They even showed Deathproof before Planet Terror. Can you imagine that?

Death Proof will be released on Sept 18 (USA) in an un-rated cut
featuring over 30min of never before seen footage including
the missing reel lapdance sequence and a black & white segment.
Planet Terror will be released Oct 16 (USA) in an un-rated
extended edition also with a missing reel intact.
    No mention of the trailers.

Ditto on using VSO’s ConvertXtoDVD. So easy, even an AOL user could do it. For koresh’s sake, who is the dumb sh*t that thinks two 700 mb CD-R’s are better quality than a 4.7 gb DVD?
And if you have a dual-core proc, a movie will rip and burn to DVD in under and hour.

Arg, sdryus and others putting this movie down, go watch ‘Delta Farce’ or a Disney flick okay? Tarantino brings you an experience, not necessarily a masterpiece. This was his ode to campy 70’s flicks, which looking back were pretty lame. This movie gave me that great feeling of going to a drive-in on a hot, sticky summer night, with a popping car speaker, stale popcorn, and one of those bug-killers that burned like DDT laced incense on your dash. Thank you Quentin!

  125. devious
    September 2nd, 2007 | 18:30

No audio? This rip has 448 kbps 6-channel AC3 sound. So you need a filter to hear it in stereo on your PC. Type “Download AC3 Filter” in Google, install AC3 Filter from wherever, and you’re ready to go. If your sound level is low after that, go into the AC3 Filter and move up the master/gain slider about halfway up from the middle.
This is your first 2-CD rip download, right? Knew it ;-)

I liked it especially for the way Tarantino played with the atmosphere all the time during the movie. So great :D Love it!
