Deadliest Catch is a documentary-style television series that documents the events aboard six fishing boats in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan king crab and Opilio crab fishing seasons. The show is named “Deadliest Catch” because the crew of these boats are at a high risk of death or injury due to the conditions of the sea during the seasons they fish, earning the title of most dangerous job in the world (source, wikipedia). Two of the first episodes of season three come out on torrents today. Usually I haven’t watched this show except the pilots on TV, but now that is it on torrents it makes it easier to see when I feel it is convenient to watch. Both releases are on usenet for those who have a subscription.

    Looks interesting. Will definitely give it a chance. Just hope it doesn’t come across as typical reality TV garbage.

    I started watching Season 1 about a week ago, I’ve got Season 2 and will start downloading the first 2 episodes of Season 3 now. I can guarantee this is not your usual reality TV garbage, far from it. I definitely recommend people download this and watch it, excellent TV series.

    its more documentary then anything else. great great show.. i have seen every season so far as discovery channel plays it over and over again.

    This show has been on for awhile, it’s pretty good. One of the most dangerous jobs on the planet.

    I believe this is the second most dangerous job in the world. I used to watch this on discovery. Easily recommended.

    Deadliest Catch is WAY better than typical reality TV. First off, it’s real, second off, the people on it are tough for real, not in an MTV type way.

    The one captain, Sig, is by and away my favorite. He’s a character and a half, and I think he’s on The Daily Show Tuesday shortly after the new episode airs, so I expect a lot of banter between him and Jon Stewart.

    Nice series, but after you’ve seen a few episodes the others are pretty much the same thing.
