Dead Birds 2004 DVDRip XviD-MrQ

Someone hidden under the name MrQ released a new dvdrip of 2004 horror Dead Birds. Although little older, this title seems way better than all these cheap horrors we could have seen lately – it even has a poster at IMDB! The movie has only 91 mins but this release is on two CDs, so you can enjoy a high quality video and AC3 sound. There is also a huge subpack with almost all languages.

In Civil War America, a band of confederate outlaws take refuge in an abandoned plantation. Led by William (Henry Thomas), they plan to rob a bank that is temporarily storing a cache of Confederate gold. The rest of the group includes Sam (Patrick Fugit), Todd (Isaiah Washington), Annabelle (Nicki Aycox), Clyde (Michael Shannon) and Joseph (Mark Boone Junior). But when the robbery results in a bloodbath, the six flee the town, aiming for Mexico. Threat of an impending thunderstorm makes the outlaws take shelter at a nearby isolated and presumed deserted plantation house. As the night wears on, each member of the group begins to have visions of the atrocities that occurred within the house. As the fear in the group begins to grow and the supernatural forces in the house start to manifest themselves, the six turn on each other and exact the wrath of the souls trapped alongside them.

Good horror movie but to short, and a little confusing at the end. I recommand this to all the horror fans out there.

New DVD rip? What happened to the old one? I remember downloading this a year ago or so, one of the 1st dvd’s I bothered burning. (i messed up though)

Anyway, the movie is pretty good, and I was actually pleasantly suprised by it, some good moments of suspension and horror, and the story is good compared to the standard ‘teens drive in a car wich brakes down in backward town, and get gruesomely butchered by random mad man or inbreed family’ stuff you see around.

I’m a big horror fan and will give this a spin, I haven’t seen it yet but I don’t think the film will be reputable enough to bring it out as a 1.5GB file. It just seems too long to download for a film that only scored a 5.6 on IMDB. If it was Die Hard then fuck yeh give me the hi def. I’m not blaming RLS, I’m blaming the people who released it and just think it’s too big and a 700MB would have been just as good.

    - low budget horror films kind of blow. unless the story is original and depiction of horror is inventive.

    – i would download this to simply see Henry Thomas and what has become of him as an actor. – he was the kid from E.T.
