De Blob PAL WII-MOMENT

MOMENT released another Wii game today, this one De Blob. After reading up on it before download, it actually looks like it might be somewhat of an interesting (time wasting :) ) game. Either way, good or bad, thanks to MOMENT for keeping the Wii games coming!

Only de Blob can flip, bounce and paint his way past the all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation to launch a color revolution and save Chroma City from a future without color. Battle against massive tank battalions, speedy I.N.K.T. racers and elite Inky soldiers on your quest to free the citizens of Chroma City. Avoid hot plates, electric shocks and inky turrets to create your own path to the impenetrable I.N.K.T. Fortress. Just remember that the struggle to reclaim Chroma City is to be fought on your terms. Remix the city in your own image using custom paints, patterns and soundtracks. Super-size your blob to attack larger and stronger enemies. Join the Color Revolutionaries to refine your skills while making a mess. The race to rescue Chroma City has just begun, and only de Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future.

    I know these games are new but with the massive amount of “shovelware” games on the wii, there really needs to be some kind of a rating system. As many wii owners know, 80% of them are like 4/10 GC/PS2 ports rushed out in a few months.

    Thanks for the posts thogh vegan, keep em up, i like :)

    Just a heads up, this game was designed and made in Australia by local developers in Adelaide.

    Was reviewed on Good-Game this week and did very well. (www.abc.net.au/goodgame)

    Definitely worth the download/purchase.

    @9

    thanks for the info.

    why can’t piracy be as easy on the wii as it is on the ds and psp?!

    why can’t the wii Man just chillax, already?!

    silly aussie #11, you don’t see brits getting all nationalistic with our contribution to the world of videogaming (littlebigplanet amongst COUNTLESS others), do you?

    small country mentality, there.

    Wow, funny to see this slightly older freeware PC game make it to the big time!

    As #7 above posted, you can find the original freeware PC version here:
    http://binnenstad.hku.nl/

    I definitely recommend playing that as a demo; it’s sort of unfinished and unconventional in that it is just one enormous level and was made by students to show citizens of a German city how the city would look after a new railroad station was constructed. It was unexpectedly fun. My 8-year-old nieces loved it. Gameplay is sort of like someone heard about Katamari Damacy but never actually played it, and came up with something nearly completely different.

    I GOT TO PLAY THIS GAME SOMETIME IN JANUARY AS A PART OF A VIDEO GAME TESTING.THE GAME IS MORE OF A CHILDS GAME AND AT THE BEGINNING THE CONTROLS ARE A LITTLE CONFUSING.
    THIS GAME GETS REAL BORING REAL FAST. THE POINT OF THE GAME IS TO COLOR THE BUILDINGS WITH YOUR COLORFUL BLOB.
    TO ME THIS GAME WAS LIKE A 3/10

    @ 11.

    When you consider the entire population of Australia live in London, I’d say its a fair thought.

    BTW, I’m not all nationalistic, I thought I’d post some more insight to the game, might sway a few more ppl to try it out.

    @ 11 – Kangaroo Jack
    Actually this game was made by a company in melbourne not adelaide as you have stated, I only point this out as a friend of mine worked on it.

    It’s actually a pretty cool game…

    @17 Don’t let some pi$$ant pom wind you up bloke. I don’t come from either country but after having lived in both I do know when it comes to mindless nationalism supporting unworthy efforts just because they come from yer home nation, nothing surpasses the english and their crazy expectations for their incompetent cricket team whose few capable players are usually african imports.

    @20
    its a wii game. region doesnt usually matter if the wii is modded. if it does, boot with menuloader. turn on region free disc and disable updates.
    this way you’ll be all good
    menuloader is by far the best app for HB on the wii

    September 24th, 2008 | 12:10

    a RS links, please??

    @tRoJ@an:
    nope…the best so far is the GeckoOS….or Starfall….Menu Loader is almost useless, I think is nowadays abandoned…
    And the newest version of GeckoOS has a Menuloader-like utility…
