I downloaded subtitles before for use with my VLC player and the file names didn’t match and they still worked – didn’t know they had to match

Now I’m going to go download all the subtitles that didn’t work for me before and name them to match!!

Your movie file name and your subtitle name have to be the same…so for example “hls-doga.avi” is your movie name, then your subtitle should be renamed to “hls-doga.srt” or use Media Player Classic if you want…just google K-lite mega codec pack
