Day Zero LIMITED DVDScr XViD-BaLD

Tonight was released a DVDScreener of one of most acclaimed movies of this year. Just look at the IMDB rating, it speaks for itself. Group BaLD released this as their first release ever so i must congratulate them on their good work. The quality is excellent, the only downside is the occasional watermark reminding you that its not for rent or sale, luckily they do not last long . I recommend getting this as it’s one of the most thought provoking movies I’ve ever seen.

The military draft is back. Three best friends are drafted and given 30 days to report for duty. In that time they’re forced to confront everything they believe about courage, duty, love, friendship and honor. If called to serve, what would you do?

    More Yankee propaganda cr4p!

The US military haven’t won a war since 1947. They have the highest rate of friendly fire deaths then any other military group in the world.Maybe someone should actually train them on how to use their hi-tech weapons?

Lil’ American cowboys WILL love draft…

“Why are the government numbers of 3,777 as of 9-7-7 are so low? The answer is simple, the government does not want the 73,846 dead U.S. soldiers killed in the Gulf to date to be compared to the 55,000 U.S. soldiers killed in Vietnam, lest we all conclude Iraq = Vietnam.

What the government is doing is only counting the soldiers that die in action before they can get them into a helicopter or ambulance. Any soldier who is shot but they get into a helicopter before he dies is not counted.

73,846 dead U.S. soldiers for this scale operation using weapons of mass destruction is not high – we expect the great majority of U.S. soldiers who took part in the invasion of Iraq to die of uranium poisoning, which can take decades to kill.

More than 1,820 tons (3-million, 640 thousand pounds) of radio-active nuclear waste uranium were exploded into Iraq alone in the form of armor piercing rounds and bunker busters, representing the worlds worst man made ecological disaster ever. 64 kg of uranium were used in the Hiroshima bomb. The U.S. Iraq Nuclear Holocaust represents far more than fourteen thousand Hiroshima atomic bombs.

    That’s 14,000.

The nuclear waste the U.S. has exploded into the Middle East will continue killing for BILLIONS of years and can wipe out more than a third of life on earth. Gulf War Veterans who have ingested the uranium will continue to die off over a number of years.”…

wow I hope thats just a failed attempt to troll…

as far as blue on blue incidents (fratricide) some of it sadly is part of fog of war and since we “yanks” make up most of the troops in the Stans and nearly all the troops outside the wire conducting 99% of all sorties clearly the odds of blue on blue is clearly stacked against us. with that said most of the incidents were because your lack of the “HI-TECH” BTID(Battlefield Target Identification Device) on your military equipment and the infamous Aide Memoire Cards your MoD failed to pass out your troops to help avoid being victim of fratricide in which is truly tragic(RIP to the fallen) especially since the brave british soldiers I’ve talked to with out exception wished their sacrifices were recognized like here in the US….but your probably one of those people that make them feel that way.

BTW – for you hippies there will never be a draft again and it should never be reinstated

either way i hope they show some americans getting killed in this one. i’m a bit bored of the we are rambo-righteous crap and bad [insert generic enemy] will pay.

only americans believe they are inherently good. the rest of us have enough cultural history to accept governments lie, people to bad things and we should always question any action we take in a fair and unpatriotic way.

until then we have to sit back and wait what the next shi.t.storm-bullsh.i.t calamity of a foreign policy the us-of -ghay will entertain us with.

  59. Eric
    December 11th, 2007 | 22:59

    Let me break it down.

It all takes place in NYC. They don’t show any war scenes in it. It is a drama, not action. I won’t lie that there isn’t violence. There is violence, and sex talk, and Elija trying to get laid, and some other stuff. Just watch the film. LOVE IT!

  60. babba loo
    December 11th, 2007 | 23:09

    @RiNgDoNgDiNg

“only americans believe they are inherently good. the rest of us have enough cultural history to accept…”

You’re almost correct. The real answer is that the rest of you have a history of imperialism, such as England and France, or world domination, such as Italy and Germany. Since the US was formed as a nation in a manner totally different from most other countries, no such history exists.

You can try to point to the current situation in Iraq as some kind of show of “American might”, but it is in no way close to the kind of history that European countries have followed.

Israel is another country where people are drafted into the military whether they want to go or not. No one makes a movie about that either.

”The real answer is that the rest of you have a history of imperialism..”

The real question is why are you starting a history of imperialism? Do you really think england just suddenly invaded india? Did germany just pop into existance in 1871? doesn’t everything start somewhere? History books might help you.

Thanks for the dochebag fish on the hook response i was waiting for.

wow so everyone knows israel has a conscript army. funny israelis being a tiny minority on this planet – unless it’s the staggering percentage of jewish owned media.

Try Singapore, S. Korea (and N, no surprise) and germany as other nations that have ‘national duty’ (yes i know in germany you can opt to wipe senior citizens bums instead). There are lots of countries that have this.

Either way mister IDF-shoot-at-kids-throwing-rocks : go cry me a river.

    as Randy put it

”Americans are too laid back, they should not be so shocked that they may have to serve their country. Plenty of people do it all around the world. Stop being such snobs.”

This movie was a joke. the least frodo could have done is to die from some IED and not kill himself. typical short-man cowardice.

Wow, what if you had to leave your Mc-drive-in and Mc-fat ass and actually do something for your country regardless if its right or wrong. I’d flame you if you did and I’d flame you if you didn’t. it’S fun being me.

    @RiNgDoNgDiNg

You fool, read my entire comment or dont respond. The US is one country that does NOT have an imperialistic history, and is not starting one now.

If the US truly had imperial motives in Iraq, then it would not have allowed the formation of an Iraqi government and an Iraqi constitution. And you would see an American flag over Iraq, not the Iraqi flag. England raised the Union Jack over each land it claimed, Nazi Germany raised their banner over almost all of Europe during their quest.

The US action in Iraq is entirely different from those two dominating forces.

Hey, newsflash oh ye of the miracle and divine happenstance…your constitution is nothing more than a constitutional amalgament of philosophical and rational discourse and implimantations of government already in place in a few european countries. @RiNgDoNgDiNg

“ever wonder why the poltical system of america is oh-so-very close to that of the french and say, british?”

No one is denying that the American system began with the basics of some of the systems in place at the time. The founding fathers compiled and refined those systems and threw out the rubbish, like the entire monarchy system.

Do you think people left Europe in general, and England in particular, for America because they were happy with the way things were over there? Of course not, they wanted to start something better, and a few hundred years later, here we are with the largest economy on the planet.

  78. RiNgDoNgDiNg
    December 12th, 2007 | 01:40

listen, you are obviously only versed superficial amercian history, otherwise i would have agreed with you up until the point, and i paraphrase ‘were happy with the way things were at home?’

No, dingbat, they left for being pissed off at the fact that they couldn’t be the religious zealots that destroyed 1/3 of germany in the 30 years war, they left because of opportunity and land and they left because they were wealthy and could make more money there and they left because they were wanted for a crimes. some went for the sheer curiosity of it.

either way if that doesn’t make sense, neither does your r.etarded arguement.

iraq is by no means the beginning of american imperialism. try the annexation of california, or hawaii, surinam or a wealth of other american colonies as a start, or what might well be seen as the ‘changing gears’ from expansion to imperialism. on that not maybe look up what imperialism means; you seem quite discombobulated on that matter.

just because 121 people voted to give it 9.1 it doesn’t make it great. When there are over 10,000 votes thats when you can tell from the rating more or less.

when this has over 10,000 votes, if it does. It will probably go down to 7.5 or 8 out of 10.

No, you are thinking of Daniel Radcliffe…although I can see how the two can be confused.

the real reason why the world hates america is because they always get their women. it was always in denial until the truth came out after 911

I hate to pull the conversation back to the level of the post, but I need some technical advice:

For a while now, I’ve been having problems with specific video files such as this and the two-CD version of “Stardust” – what happens is the volume just goes up and down at random moments, and I can’t seem to adjust it. I have AC3Filter and the Combined Community Codec Pack – when I play most videos I get FFVideo and FFAudio symbols, but movies such as these where I can’t hear a damn thing and then suddenly it’s TOO loud only have FFVideo. What should I do?

another crap movie overrated at imdb

    this is an interesting issue

the movie does not address it other than in typical hollywood superficial stereotypes

even oliver stone could have done better, and that is harsh criticism

don’t download unless you like indie garbage.

Yes, the came to America, because of the patriot act, the right tho shoot up schools, the right to blame Mr Manson, the right to invade Iraq, the right to invade Vietnam, the right to own guns, the right to elect George Bush. We in Europe see USA as a pretty f*ked up country now a days, its sorry to say but its true… good night and good luck…..

    @97

Install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack instead (fixes all your codecs and uninstalls old ones). Works for everything.

About the movie… Don’t dl unless being a “thoughtful” middle-class american. Pretentious pretty much sums it up and it was one of the few movies I couldn’t bare to watch til the end. It tries to be indie, but it’s not. It tries to be introvert, but the script sucks. It tries to be provocative, but everything in it follows the same “friends on a journey… destination… life”-recipe. Think Deer Hunter without the actors, script and tension and there you have it.

To be honest I was slightly disappointed with the movie mostly because I liked the trailer so much and not much happens in the movie that isn’t predictable and summarized in the description/trailer but it was still good and definitely worth downloading and watching

Folks I’m military and proud of it. First off if it wasn’t for the US most of Europe would be speaking German. Second if it wasn’t for the US most of the Pacific would be speaking Japanese so unless someone can prove me wrong the US has been the big brother of the world. So please stop the madness and report only on the quality of the movie.
