A pretty amazing film awarded by 5 movie awards and positively accepted by almost every critic arrived to DVDs and guys from group BestDivX bring us the repack. The first release was nuked for bad IVTC, this one is fixed and looks much better. As for the film, it’s a criminal thriller about a young woman who decides to blow up a bomb at Times Square. Be sure to check the trailer and eventually download this nice flick.
A 19-year-old girl prepares to become a suicide bomber in Times Square. Her accent is not particularly out of place and it’s impossible to pinpoint her ethnicity. We never learn why she made her decision — she has made it already. We don’t know whom she represents, what she believes in – we only know she believes it absolutely. The film strips the story down to its existential core. It focuses on microscopic movements, the smallest gestures, an economy of banal details. Inspired in part by a story in a Russian newspaper and playing off a history of Joan of Arc films, the film transpires on the girl’s face. The minimalism of the face is confronted with the visual and aural noise of the city. Faith comes face-to-face with the possibility of failure.

Why 608×336 resolution? This must surely be a 1.85 aspect ratio, so the correct resolution would be 624×336. Why are there 16 pixels shaved off the width? All that will do is to squeeze the image by 2.5%. I thought scene groups always got resolution perfectly in line with the rules – as close as possible to aspect ratio 2.35 or 1.85 and numbers divisible by 16. Ideally, 640×272 (2.35) and 592×320 (1.85).
I read the plot summary. Seems interesting. Of course when it comes to a terroristic act it would be set in New York City.

#6 becuz the resolution of the movie must not be too big for the given bitrate. Too low bitrate + too big resolution equals bullshit. If the resolution is too low, the higher bitrate is useless too.

No point in such a long movie, condensed to 5 min works. Really, it is a crappy indi film. I have nothing against independent films, a lot of good ones, but, this had NOTHING to it. It is like someones college project Really, the only reason this got reviews is because it is “indie” and since everyone is so original, they HAVE to see it in order to “conform” to the indie way to make a statement that they don’t conform. It makes no sense to me either… even what I just wrote.
Ok, watching this movie made me feel like I was back in Wicker Park years ago when the “cool” thing was to be indie, before lincoln park yuppies needed more space for their Hummers and took over the neighborhood, running all the poor artists and film makers to Logan Square. The director of this film probably went with the bunch, the Director of Street Thief, well, he is probably living in Lincoln Park
