Dawn Of The Dead 1978 720p BluRay x264-SiNNERS
Whoa guys! Great release from SiNNERS here! Dawn of the Dead (1978) in 720p! I think we all know this movie and I think you all enjoyed this. This is a nice movie to add to your HD-collection, if you haven’t already got it. I’d say: grab it as fast as you can!
Sequel to “Night Of The Living Dead.” It’s some time after the dead have started to rise and attack the shocked living, and civilization has started to crumble. In the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, TV station workers Stephen and Francine decide to run as the situation worsens and, after meeting Roger and Peter (two special policemen ordered to move any people into rescue stations) who have also choose to run, steal the station’s helicopter and fly west in an attempt to find a safe place. After several attempts during their flight across Pennsylvania, they find a deserted mega-mall in Monroeville, outside Pittsburgh and decide to wait there until the crisis is over. They clear the mall of the undead and board the entrances up with tractor-trailers and then sit down and wait. Can they hold out, not only against the growing, moaning, and hungry masses of the undead outside, against murderous looters, but most importantly of all, can they hold out and not lose their sanity…?

I would really recommend picking this movie up. It seems as though the quality wouldn’t be necessary but it really is perfect for watching on a larger TV. Everyone should own a copy of this for real, at least download it and check it out.
Incredible post again Bram. Great movie, levels above the remake. P.S. New Romero movie set out for the end of the year, straight to DVD, Diary of the Dead.. he did this to avoid the MPAA
@2:
Thanks man!
new one is better
The original Dawn rules,except no nerdass substitutes.
[s]ive never seen this movie but it looks like my kind of movie. i just wanted to post to play around with my letters. But im definitely gonna pick this up.[/s]
whats the point of the HD-rips when there is no torrent?
aww i thought it would work
@2
Actually, Diary of the Dead (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0848557/) has been picked up by Weinstein Co. and will have a theatrial release.
There’s a teaser poster that can be viewed here: http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/uploads/diary110506.jpg

@ #10 marc – Glad to see you got the italics tags working finally. Good third try.
Also, you should have used the word “too” in your last full sentence instead of “to”. If you need any more help, let me know.
Thanks for the info. I enjoy some of these old howler movies as I refer to them. Just for info simpsons R5 is out on some public sites
. Not a bad copy either.
With this being in HD… can you finally make out what Stephen wrote on the typewriter?

@marc.
This has nothing to do with lazyness, but if you check about 7 BIG torrent sites plus edonkey/kademlia network and the file still doesn’t show up, then I don’t see the point of posting that news… Sorry.
How is this a scene RELEASE without a release?
Plus, we are still waiting on Evil Dead 2 guys
Yes, really annoying. All those “releases” without a torrent……….
@eric
evil dead 2 IS available –> do a search for “sinners” on isohunt. But still no luck for dawn and day of the dead… :/
does anybody know what cut this is?
there exists three famous but very different cuts(length, soundtrack, etc)
A low budget film but it is a classic.
This would be the US theatrical version of the film.
Amazing film. Absolutely amazing. This came out in 1978 and I was born in 1973. A friends father let me and my friend see this on pirate video (hey! remember those!!) along with The Driller Killer when I was 5 or 6 years old!! I’ve been addicted to horror ever since.
For Zombie movies, this probably will never be bettered and is certainly the benchmark. Get it if you can afford the bandwidth!!
However a lot of these HD and Bluray posts have recently come up with NO torrents!!!??!?! Where are they all??
They all seem to be on usenet.
@ Shaun it’s good to know it will hit theatres but I really hope that the MPAA doesn’t rape the film. I was reading an interview with Romero that said he made this as an independent to avoid having it cut apart to meet the MPAA rating standards!
That’s the same poster they used for the film festival, my buddy lives in TO and he stole one for me
I love Romero’s films and in a true show of class got 5 GREAT writers/directors as small parts in the movie.. Stephen King, Wes Craven, Quentin Tarantino, Guillermo del Toro and Simon Pegg are all newscasters in this movie. I can’t wait.
omg can’t wait! thank you.. billiant film!
HD :O
@Leroy
How do I get them from usenet? Any ideas?
