Darkest Hour – Deliver Us (2007)

Well known group EON brings us a fine album release “Deliver US” from metal band Darkest Hour. Their new album was released  three days ago so for those who may want to support these guys or like metal core then go get their album! For those who wan to download it the quality of this release should be fine as its coming from group EON. Enjoy!

Darkest Hour is an American metalcore/melodic death metal band. Their 2005 effort Undoing Ruin was a commercial success, as it was the band’s first album to enter the Billboard 200, at #138. Darkest Hour are notorious for on-stage ferocity, taut guitar interplay and enraged vocals that outline the hypocrisy and casual brutality of politics and society. Their prior releases on Victory Records set benchmarks in the genre as the band embraced the DIY ethics of the hardcore scene and the technical skill of metal, galvanizing their own path and earning fans from both sides of the fence. While Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation (2003) attacked the duplicity of government, So Sedated, So Secure (2001) skewered organized religion and rampant commercialism. On Undoing Ruin, the latest chapter in the Darkest Hour story, themes of healing and moving forward are prevalent. “It’s our fi rst album that isn’t overtly political, though we did record “District Divided” which deals with the rapid gentrifi cation in our hometown, Washington, D.C.,” commented guitarist Mike Schleibaum, “The album is about change, personal and musical. The name, Undoing Ruin, fi t the concept – it’s about making life worth living again.”

Why do all “metal” bands look like EMO’s these days….
and wtf is metalcore is that something those emo fags made up to sound more tough. Even the old good bands like Papa Roach now look like emo’s. Suddenly Last Resort is fucking gay.

pfff thank god this guy can still make me laugh

@Why – google it perhaps? I’ll warn you though, the wikipedia article contains lots of big words that you might have to get a grown up to ’splain to you. If the big words are too much for you, maybe a visit to Darkest Hour’s page for a little bit of a listen might explain what metalcore is to you. Don’t worry, there’s no pictures of the nasty emofags on the homepage, you don’t have to worry about them magically beaming their emofag rays through the monitor and turning you cybergay. (translation for the sarcasm challenged: You’re A Moron)

Jesus Humphrey Christ people, if you don’t like it then sod off and read the next post. You’re not making witty meaningful statements about the state of society and how it’d be so much better if it changed. You’re just pissing off rlslogians who might actually want to discuss the rls.

    ahem, bitch session over…

Not such a bad album. The music is pretty cool, double bass drum heavy and nice and melodic with cool riffs. Vocals are pretty growly, but sometimes the lead singer sounds screamo. Worth a listen if you like bassy metal type music.

Metalcore is a bad name for the genre, there are to many gay fuckin bands getting labelled with metalcore. Melodic Death Metal is a better label. Also this album is good, but undoing ruin still makes me creme myself.

Oh guys buy this instead, these guys desperately need the money to buy themselves an image. Seriously, they look as metal as the employees at your local mall.
