No. 24 – hey I have lived through out SA and VIC and mate the abbo's are the same every where not just in the NT. I went to an Aboriginal School and grew up with those guys. They are all nice guys but they just have to stop blaming some one else and take responsibility for their races survival otherwise it won't. If they were in India they would have died out.

I dunno where these alleged old territorians sprung from but I lived in Darwin for over 25 years and seeing some silly immature rednecks blaming aboriginal people for their difficulty in coping with violent and oppressive colonisation makes me wonder if these peeps have ever really lived in Darwin. Most of my aboriginal friends who lived there did work These idjits have never gotten out of airconditioned bar in the army or airforce base they were transported to care of the australian taxpayer, and got to know any of the local people.

Darwin was destroyed by these money hungry whitefellas bringing their greed and ignorance to a complex situation primarily because they were failures down south, their attitude and lack of knowledge appals.

The Australian Aboriginal culture is a culture of victims. It's easy to blame an event 200 years ago for your short comings than to try and fix your problems. This race has had billions of dollars thrown at it but still they let their children die, abuse petrol and booze and destroy their free housing.
It's not racism it's a lack of respect that we all hve for them.
My German, Swedish and English ancestors were invaded by Romans, Huns, Goths etc and do they still blame them. No.

Such vile outpouring of nazi style racism from people here claiming to be from Australia.

1) There are NOT many Human races. You sickos need to get your head around the the fact that science proved long ago that EVERY Human on this planet belongs to a single race.

2) Our ancestors originally came from Africa, and looked a damned sight closer to the so-called Aborigines than do modern day European folk.

3) Our different appearances are entirely down to common clusters of genes that have gathered, mostly through breeding choices, across the ages. Thus, different looking Humans from across the world are akin to breeds of dog.

4) There were other intelligent ape species (races) on the planet, but we Humans wiped them out long before the dawn of recorded Human history.

5) 'Black' slaves in the USA were commonly called too stupid to learn to read or write, but actually were prevented from getting a proper education to make them look stupid, so that people would carry on supporting slavery.

6) so called 'primitive' Humans are mentally identical to you or I, but tend to exist in a culture trap, where the psychology of how society treats them prevents advancement.

Maybe you guys living in the downsouth, in where the majority of the Abbo's are properly educated and work in society. but this is Darwin, NT. and, i don't think its gonna change in the next 15-20 years, unless there are BIG major change in Government and Larrakia Nations Community, and also the Abbo's themselves. I know several Aborigines that try to blend with society, and i respect them, very much, these people goes to collage and apply for work in Wollies and others.
My criticsm goes to those Abbo who sucking out OUR taxes to get booze and yell at me and my friends at the Bus station, their half kids who formed gank terorise the community, steal my bike, twice, gank up korean tourists, break my windshield with coconut, and noisy when drunk.
One of my concern is that there are Hypocrit about this matter. My associate, she's a middle age Ozy woman who work for Uni as one of the International officers, She does support the indegenous community and help the one who want to enter collage. One time, i meet her at a Bus and there are two Abbo's that want take the same bus. One of them are drunk. The bus driver concerning other passanger, reject them and close the bus door before they can enter. This lady then yelled at the bus driver and said he is racist. A while latter, after we separated, she then looking back for me and ask me if i can accompany her to pass an alleyway. when i asked her why, she just said, Those Abbo's are in there..
Then,. it makes me think,.

I know what aboriginals are like I used to live in adeladie and you couldn't get of a train in town without having 10 aboriginals begging for money or a cigarette.
but THAT aside there are some pretty decent ppl I have known that are aboriginals.
And as qwerty said they are treated as outcasts-they always have been since europeans first colonized australia. Now I know, I know they get all these special privileges and all that and all they do is beg and cause trouble in cities but that is only because they are the outcasts. the government plays this down by giving them the benefits they get.
STOP treating them as outcasts and maby in 15-20 years things will be different.

Please stop stereotyping! Every culture, country or person has a fault.

We should we very grateful we wake up in a warm house and have privileges such as Internet or more to the point a computer. Some people don’t have that and we’re here criticizing them. I live in Australia. The indigenous culture never interfered with me and I never interfere with them. They don’t have the choice of being white or black, or how they live. They probably don’t get educated well enough for a decent job, you can blame it on the government or their parents, but it won’t change a think.

There’s so many inequality in this world.

@8 I second that mate, i also live in Darwin, and these Abbos are nothing but trouble. BUT! i also found out that back in their community, they are a good people that respect other culture. when i went to Alice and meet some of these Abbo's group, they are friendly and very different in their propotion. FYI, those City dwelers Abbo's are skinny, reeks of alcohols, have skin disase and boils. They are lazy and live from gov' teats. But those are the outcast from the community, a community in which that i see proud and resepect inside the people, Remind me of the Native Americans. I'm Asian, and i doesn't respect Racism, however, for these city dwellers, its too much, even for me. and its true, for this matter its about to judge the book by smelling it. and believe me, you can smell their alcohol coverage sweat and rooten boils from metres away..
