Long time since my last post, but work has been a b**ch lately. Well, without a job you ain’t got bread on the table, unfortunately. Anyways, this movie seems interesting. Starring Aidan Quinn (known for various professional dramatic performances) and Meryl Streep, this movie has scored high on IMDB – but not that much on RT. Quality is pretty good, English subs included in non-English scenes. Enjoy.

Synopsis: The feature film debut of renowned opera and theater director Chen Shi-Zheng, DARK MATTER delves into the world of Liu Xing (Chinese for “Shooting Star”), a Chinese science student pursuing a Ph.D. in the U.S. in the early 1990s. Driven by ambition, yet unable to navigate academic politics, Liu Xing is inexorably pushed to the margins of American life, until he loses his way. Liu Xing (Liu Ye) arrives at a big Western university with plans to study the origins of the universe. In the beginning, everything is looking up. He finds other Chinese students to share a cheap apartment with him, and flirts with an attractive American girl who works in a local tea shop. When the head of the department, Jacob Reiser (Aidan Quinn), welcomes Liu Xing into his select cosmology group, it seems that only hard work stands between him and a bright future in American science. At an orientation for foreigners sponsored by a local church, Joanna Silver (Meryl Streep), a wealthy patron of the university, notices the earnest student.

    i tried 3 times last night to post an nzb but its not having it is there a reason why, or am i not allowed to post nzb’s now, or does this stem back to the argument with marcelli about him deleting my post with the nzb i posted.

    someone last night asked for the nzb for tyson 2008 when i posted it it never shown up so it looks like im not permitted to post nzb’s well what can i say except its not bothering me i just feel sorry for the commenters on here looking for a movie that you aint posted or are late with,all im doing is helping them out but i suppose that is against the rules aswell,well if this is because of marcelli,then its just plain silly to deprive others of a post.

    @ 4, ya and i hate Meryl Streep, hope he knocks 7 shades of dark matter out of her. The pic looks a bit like hes about to snap her scrawy neck, now thats a movie i would pay to see

    Watched this last night and I can say it was enjanle, if a bit predictable at times.

    The acting and script could have been a bit better but for the most part the characters are thee dimentional and come to life well.

    I empathised with the main character as I have difficulty in dealing with company politics.
