Dane Cook Rough Around The Edges 2007 STV DVDRiP XviD-iNTiMiD

Dane Cook is another world famous comedian who released a DVD “Rough Around the Edges” filmed at Madison Square Garden. This release is full of his songs and funny sketches. The album sold 90 000 copies in its first week, mostly because of Thanksgiving weekend.

His third full-length, following the amazing showing of his first two CDs, “Harmful If Swallowed” and “Retaliation”, which have sold over 1.2 million copies each and are still going strong. This double digipak contains a full-length CD of Cook’s best new material, as well as a DVD of the live show, recorded in front of tens of thousands of adoring fans at MSG. Hands down the most energetic comedian today, Dane is best served with both audio and video components.

u either love him or hate him, i love him, i think he is hilarious, he tells true things about life in such a funny way, but like other types of comedy (like family guy), some people don’t like it and some do, it’s all about personal taste, the comedy’s u like may not appeal to me… my friend likes boondocks, i hate it…

Dane Cook is ok, but he’s not as funny as David Cross or the late Bill Hicks. I’m not from the U.S., so I’d like to ask people here if they can recommend other stand-ups, considdering the fact that I love Cross and Hicks.
(O, I do think Julia Sweeney’s whole story about ‘Letting Go Of God’ was pretty funny: http://www.mininova.org/tor/925528 )

Dane cook is alright, i dont know why people hate him so much. Not every comedian is “GREAT” but this guy makes me laugh sometimes. I just dont understand how some hate Dane Cook and then like that @$$clown of a comedian “Carlos Mencia” i mean seriously duh duh dumbbb.

im gonna d/l it for someone else anyways, so might as well watch it :D

dane cook is an american comedy. You brits just don’t ‘get’ our subtle and witty american humor. british sucks. american rulezzz!!

  24. Byte
    November 23rd, 2007 | 22:13

I hope that was a joke post cause no one must be dumb enough to think the brits dont have the wittiest and subtle dry humour in comedy.

Dane Cook is to comedy what Godzilla is to Tokyo Skylines.

Dane Cook is destorying comedy, one energetic, non joke filled show after the other.

Yelling and pouring water bottles on yourself is not telling jokes. It’s not even funny.

    November 23rd, 2007 | 23:57

He’s the McDonalds of comedy. Fat stupid people just eat him up. He has to be one of the unfunniest guys I’ve have the misfortune to see Live. Complete an utter bellend.

LOL at 23. There’s no such thing as subtle American comedy. The ones that are get canned or only become successful outside of America, because the general population of the U.S.A are too DUMB to appreciate the finer stuff.

I like Dane Cook. He’s funny. But I found this to be too much, He is Madison Square gardens with thousands upon thousands of people. and Every joke the stadium erupts in laughter and cheers as if he was britney spears or the spice girls. It’s horrible. If you have never seen Dane Cook. This DVD is not the place to start. Go download his early MP3s.

    not funny

  38. romat
    November 27th, 2007 | 04:27

Why hate him? Dane Cook is a perfect fit an apolitical generation(s), the kind who passively follow along with the political status quo - as long as it doesn’t upset their ability to have a good time. Call it the Whatever generation. For perspective, compare Cook to Lenny Bruce or Richard Pryor in his prime.

Btw, the video/audio get out of sync at 38 mins.

  39. psyclear
    November 27th, 2007 | 05:02

I agree with romat. I saw him before he hit it big. He was touring colleges before Harmful if swallowed, and he was much funnier back then. After his retaliation album, he became huge. It seems that he is catering now to his target audience, the whatever generation as romat puts it. The under-achiever is popular now. It shows that to make it big, you have to not try so hard.

Stand-up comedy is also a very opinionated medium like film. No comedian truly sucks as long as people are laughing at the jokes.

As far as him copying jokes, this concept is also like film. Yes the original is always better, but there are whole generations that haven’t heard of the older comics. In a sense, this is just a way to introduce old jokes to a new crowd.

    “Dane Cook sucks donkey balls.”
Soooooo true - you just gaze at the screen and go “ok so whens this guy going to start being funny”

THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT THIS GUY - worst stand up i’ve ever seen.
