What a great night for releases we finally get after a few days of drought. DiAMOND seems to be on fire at the moment. “Dan In Real Life” should be one of the best comedies of the year and it’s now available in great quality on 1 CD.

Synopsis: Just as LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE did in 2006, DAN IN REAL LIFE reveals that Steve Carell is an actor who can do more than just comedy. He’s won both accolades and awards as bumbling boss Michael Scott on THE OFFICE, but there’s a greater depth to this performance as a single father and man in love. Advice columnist Dan Burns (Carell) has his hands full with three daughters that he’s not willing to let grow up. The girls still grieve for their mother who died four years ago, and Dan hasn’t made any attempts to date. So he’s pleasantly surprised when he meets Marie (Juliette Binoche) at a bookstore when he goes to his parents’ Rhode Island home for the annual family reunion.

    If you like Steve Carell in The Office, then you’ll love this movie. He plays almost the same character as he does on TV, just like Michael Scott.

    He is so funny in this movie…should be higher than a 67% on RT, but most of those reviewers are morons anyway.

    national treasure 2 does stink, the first one was watchable, but the second one was shocking beyond belief. nick cage’s acting was so awful, and i thought the idea of normal security guards with guns at buckingham palace was funny. only the police have handguns in the UK after the Dunblane massacre.

    @Amazing Movie

    Tried to enjoy Bang Bang Your Dead, but it started off so slow, and didnt really go anywhere. Sort of like a DeGrassi High movie, but about the unpopluar kids instead of the normal ones.

    It tries to make a point about school shootings and possibly explore why they could happen, but it soon blames the parents and teachers instead of the real culprit.

    Pass on this one.

    Got to love Diamond with their Friday night releases here on the East Coast of USA. Last week, Awake, Things We Lost In The Fire, now Old Country For Old Men, Bee Movie and Dan in Real Life. Best scene group period. Now, if they could just release The Mist, preferably in the next 24 hours, that would be great, if not, I’m sure we’ll be treated to it next week. Also There Will Be Blood DVD is scheduled for release April 6th. Maybe we’ll have it by the middle of March.

    Oh…not a great one. For a comedy/drama it’s a bit too cliqued and Steve Carrel has been going downhill since Evan Almighty…Too bad Juliette Binoche got dragged into this..Im still waiting for an Enchanted release. I mean the DVD is released in a little over two weeks…Whats keeping a DVDRip…Oh i suppose I should learn patience…although im waiting for August Rush too. Oh well…lets hope a There Will Be Blood screener pops up sometime soon. Thanks RLSLOG

    Quality film, the balance between squirm and comedy is balanced. Not groundbreaking in it’s story or ideas but the effect is still there.

    Rapidshare links might take a few more seconds to click than single links, but they are posted to these comments so fast that you can get them hours before those A-drive and Y-drive links get posted. If they get posted at all.

    Meanwhile, each release has like 5 or more sets of rapidshare links. Only crazy people avoid rapidshare links to wait hours more for an A-drive link.

    I saw this at an advanced screening in Toronto, sweet movie! Kinda slow paced at times, but when it starts to get slow, Steve picks up the pace with a corny joke! Those lines here and there make the movie what it is… Sweet!

    sure you know how rapidshare works.
    it doesn’t matter movie has different sets of rapidshare links. because all of the files on rapidshare servers and you still have to wait 2 minutes for your next download to start and 1 min for every MB you downloaded (etc. for a 100mb rared file 2 + 100 = 102 min) and if you are there all the time 700mb file means 7 * 102
    = 702 min just waiting time (dont even start with dowload time -depens on your net speed).
    so for some this waiting time is not convenient and they prefer just one direct link.
    in my case (100kb/s download speed) 700mb movie with rapidshare links takes me about 120 + 702 = 822 min. (about 14 hours)
    if i got a direct link with a 15kb/s download limit (it will also take me 14 hours) i will be more happy because I don’t have to stay front of the pc to keep clicking on rapidshare links.

    I am with sst. I normally get my movies in about 5 minutes using private trackers, unless its a movie I’m just bleh about and in no rush seeing. Instead of wasting ratio and having to reseed I look to 1 click links. The ton of RS links are just unappealing to me. I’m the set it and forget type–gives me more time to fantasize about Tito ravaging me in my sleep. MMMmmMmmMMmm– Le’Snort!
