DAEMON Tools Pro v4 10 0215 32bit INTERNAL-PARADOX

PARADOX just released a very, VERY interesting app for all you scenedownloaders. Almost everyone in the scene knows it: Daemon Tools. I don’t think it needs an introduction, but for some noobs out here: DAEMON Tools is a virtual cd/dvd-rom optical storage media emulator. It is able to emulate nearly all known copy protections on the market today. It lets you mount almost all known imagefiles like ISO, MDS, MDF etc. DAEMON Tools Pro enables you to create up to 32 virtual drives, allowing you to run your game images at over hundreds times faster than from a conventional CD-ROM!

Program Features:

  • Emulate up to 32 virtual drives!
  • DAEMON Tools Pro enables you simultaneously play your favorite game and bring up your route planner written on another CD-ROM, without having to eject and reload any physical discs. The 32 virtual drives ability of DAEMON Tools Pro means you can have the equivalent of 32 CD-ROM Drives in your Home PC all accessible simply and quickly running your Disc image at hundreds times faster than that of a conventional CD-ROM drive. If you need a program or CD it is immediately there – always ready to use!
  • DAEMON Tools Pro at the office: Program discs and many other applications generally require the original Disc to be in the computers CD-ROM drive, this restricts the amount of people in your office who can have access to the same software at the same time without the cost of additional discs, DAEMON Tools Pro virtual drives resolves that problem for you. No more hunting around the offices for that elusive disc you need to run your application, every thing you require is just a click.

Ofcourse, this featurelist is bullsh*t. In easy words this let’s you play your scenegames.

People reporting the crack is a virus:

Sometimes the way the crack is written will get dected as a virus even if it’s not.

PARADOX has a good reputation, so unless someone else repacked their release to include a virus, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Amazing. It really exists?. It comes, what, 2 years late?. I remember when everybody was looking at this to play SF games without having to unplug the drives.

And still no IDE emulator. Incredible!

“Emulate up to 32 virtual drives!”
Holy, who needs 32 virtual drives?

    June 26th, 2007 | 22:05

try this site, it scans a file with a couple dozen virus scanners and is a good way to see if it’s a false positive or something real. if a lot of major well known one’s say it’s a virus, then i get worried.

I can’t believe Daemon Tools went retail :(

  10. SoniKalien
    June 26th, 2007 | 22:08

Exactly, once you got a nocd you don’t even need the disc/image at all, and since most office applications don’t require a disc, then why would you ever need 32 drives?

  11. June 26th, 2007 | 22:16

    SoniKalien:

Ever thought about installing? I don’t see you install a game from one little .exe … no, you’ll need to emulate it :D

    June 27th, 2007 | 03:13

So what does this have other than the free version? I mean from a scene perspective. Does it emulate a drive that starforce doesn’t detect as emulation? Is there any release that won’t work on free Dtools but will work on this?

  26. June 27th, 2007 | 05:19

    It has GUI =)

  27. karpen
    June 27th, 2007 | 05:42

At least there is a free version so we don’t need to circumvent the protection of the program that circumvents protection… bleh

Nice release though this still has the fucking annoying adware called WhenU.SaveNow in dtprohlp.dll which should be removed.

    DT going pro? fucking sellouts!

  32. Cim
    June 27th, 2007 | 13:08

Sellouts? They have been giving away their product for years now. More than most do.

  33. Der34
    June 27th, 2007 | 18:41

yes but that is the meaning of sellouts – that they give something for free and then decide to make a pro version and get money out of it. Thats exactly what happened to DiVX. If they hadnt done that – XviD would have never started up in the first place.

  34. piss
    June 27th, 2007 | 18:49

pro x64/64-bit version would be nice…

  35. bob
    June 27th, 2007 | 19:05

XviD was out long before DivX went Pro/commercial. And DT has been commercially released for a looooooooooong time!

And f*ck you for whining when great programmers wants to get something back for their hard work. You can still get the free version, just like DivX.

Why don’t you f*ck off or spend 5 years programming something the world wants for free yourself!

  36. magusat999
    June 27th, 2007 | 19:17

Both XviD and DivX were created by COMMUNITIES of people. bob is talking as if they were developed by a closed circle of people who actually owned the codec – that is WRONG and that’s what’s WRONG with thinking it’s okay to start selling it. It doesn’t and SHOULDN’T belong to anyone to sell in the first place, because it was developed and tweaked by the general public – FOR FREE. Just like Linux, we all created it together, so we should not be charged for it (who OWNS it anyway? Shouldn’t BOTH codecs be PUBLIC DOMAIN???). So who give a jack shit how loooooooooooong it’s been offered for free IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE.

Why don’t YOU fuck off, bob, or spend 5 years figuring out how to create something without parasiting the public…

  37. magusat999
    June 27th, 2007 | 19:25

Since nobody except iMike has inputted an answer to “What does the Pro version have that the free version doesn’t” I decided it might be advantageous to translate his text. This is the straight, un-edited translation – so you’ll have to figure it out from there…:

    [quote]
4all Russian main advantage to upgrade 2 Pro:

Despite the universal virtual SCSI-privoda, at the moment he ceases to discharge its responsibilities, as well as developers of modern defence made to blacklist all virtual devices to block the work of emulation. This prompted the authors D-Tools to create an expanded, but scrambled version DAEMON Tools Pro, which, in addition to options write images to CD / DVD, recorded and the new module-virtual IDE-privodom. Such a decision would, in principle, eliminate any blocking of the emulator, and it certainly will like all enthusiasts. While the implementation of such a complex device (it is not surprising that the beta and clean mind to D-Tools Pro lasted for more than a year!) , After his exit, it will leave the decision to emulate and accurate copy protected CD / DVD. Of course, if you purchased it legally, which is also relentlessly remind developer on the front page of the draft…

strange they went back to an nfo design from 2001
and still have greets for old groups

  39. June 27th, 2007 | 20:37

Thanx for the heads up (regarding the posts that actualy containe usefull info).

However to help me get this straight. = Im using DT (and have always) v 4.09HE.
What advantage is their for us to go with the pro version ? Is it true that this version is not going to be blacklisted due to the expanded scrambled coding ?. (as in developers wont be able to blacklist the pro version so simply?). I find this hard to belive.
So what are the advantages of going to pro ?

    Same here, virus.
    Well Done Fucking Twat

  41. June 28th, 2007 | 01:50

Well my nod32 didnt detect a virus or a trojan.

  42. June 28th, 2007 | 04:13

Well I just checked qurantine and the crack for this program was sent there cause nod32 detected it as adware: Win32/Adware.WhenU.SaveNow. That is why I got the dtprohlp.dll error. Daemon tools makers: Dont use adware assholes. Use something that doesnt send data back to the fucking company. It’s a autoinstall too for the pro edition. I’ll stick to alcohol 120 and boycott daemon tools for the adware.

  43. June 28th, 2007 | 04:40

sure, they really care about your boycott because you really paid for their software, like an honest person.

  44. Kloon
    June 29th, 2007 | 06:33

No, there was no fucking question whether to install it or not. Furthermore, it’s been injected into the dtprohlp.dll and DT won’t function w/o that file.

    July 17th, 2007 | 20:11

well, i finally get to try out dt pro. it’s unfortunate that a paying customer has to resort to a cracked ver though. i’ve been trying for a month to get lob to update my information so i can download my copy that i paid for over 2 yrs ago. even though according to them i only supported the effort at the time and for my contribution i get to d/l pro. it really pisses me off that dt is going the way of big business. give less expect more. they no longer offer lifetime support/ upgrades. i’m so fed up with windows and its bs software i’m ready to switch to linux for 100% of my support. games or no games.

When i copy over and replace the .dll file in the install folder, it will either say error or it will work, but the app wont open any longer, and if i dont copy the patch over than i gotta do this trial bulllshit.?? any advice?
