D16 Nithonat v1.0 VSTi-DYNAMiCS

Here we have a nice Vsti which you can use to create good & wacky beats. I have enjoyed experimenting with this one. Read Nfo before installing , then install & have fun. ;-)

Description:
Nithonat is a fully synthesized drum machine based on the classic 606. The unique sound of this machine has been used by many artists over the years in the production of Electro, Hip-Hop and R n B. The original 606 has been perfectly emulated. However, since Nithonat is software based, D16 were able to enhance the original with extra functionality.

Features:

  • fully synthesized drum sounds
  • additional parameters to get yet more control over the sound
  • many ways of controlling the device
  • internal sequencer
  • mutes/solos for each instrument (affect triggerring not just the signal)

  • drum kits organised into groups
  • midi learn function

Yes very helpful. It can be used to give some easy "structure" in a composition.

OK, for those that don't know, this IS NOT A STANDALONE PROGRAM! What to do is, once you've downloaded the program from here, install it and then copy the dll file that is in the archive to the root folder of the program (usually C:\Program Files\D16 Group) overwriting the old one. Then, you need to download a small program that reads the dll file. So, go here:

    http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm

…and download the latest version of VST Host. Once you've downloaded it, extract the files to a folder anywhere on your PC and run the vsthost.exe file. Then, once the program has loaded, go: File>New Plugin (or Ctrl+N). It will then ask you to look for the dll file. Locate your C:\Program Files\D16 Group folder and the dll file and click open. You'll then hear a simple beat and a little box pops up. Now from that little box, click the icon 5th from the left on the top row, it looks like a small dial or clock. Your new Nithonat machine will now open. Play about with it and enjoy.

Also, just wanted to add that you don't have to use VST Host if you don't want to, you can use any Virtual Studio Technology program you like. (Cubase, Ableton Live, Ardour, etc) Whatever floats your boat. I only chose VST Host as it's simple to use.

    Correct me if I'm wrong;
isn't even the demo version of the sequencer "Reaper"…
    ****://www.reaper.fm/
    …fully functional?
As a beginner I would rather get "Reaper" (it's only 5mb),
    and have something halfway decent.
Even if I just want to make some little beats.
