I went ahead and installed this application to test it against ATI's Avivo Video converter. It supposedly supports ATI Stream-enabled video cards. I was surprised that the Radeon HD4870 isn't supported!

Of all the 4800 series cards, why miss out on the 4870? Anyway, just a heads up to those AMD Radeon HD4000 series owners who would want to try it out, only these specific cards are supported (based on the system requirements from their website):

    Radeon HD 4650
    Radeon HD 4670
    Radeon HD 4830
    Radeon HD 4850
    Radeon HD 4870 X2
