Culpa Innata-RELOADED

I have fallen out of love with Adventure titles for the moment, what with so many great games being released recently such as the Orange Box, WiC and Hellgate London plus Crysis just around the corner. But i know how fun adventure games can be even though few can appreciate them, as you have to put in a great deal of time into them to get rewarded. Still even though I’m not really feeling this title i know there are at least a few loyal adventure gamers at there. Culpa Innata is the newest such game, brought to us by the guys at RELOADED. This looks to be one of the better adventure games, i viewed a few trailers and even though the graphics are terrible and the lip syncing is down right awful the storyline looks interesting and fun. And really that’s all the matters in an adventure game. This is supposed to be non-linear storyline as well so you can make your own decisions. Whether it truly is or not is something i cant say. The game is unprotected except for a little old serial (why do they even bother using serials on non multiplayer games!?) so no problems with bad cracks or whatever. Anyway anyone who enjoys adventure games, then this should be right up your alley. Have fun!

A World Union citizen is murdered in Russia, one of the few remaining Rogue States. This murder oddly coincides with the accidental death of a prominent professor in Adrianopolis, an important border town between the World Union and Russia. Peace Officer Phoenix Wallis is assigned to lead the investigation of the murder. Still young and inexperienced, she will soon make discoveries beyond her wildest imagination, as skilled hackers and subversive characters begin taking an inexplicable interest in Phoenix. Her investigation reveals enigmatic clues that lead her deeper and deeper into a mystery that challenges not only her case, but her very beliefs in the worldview she has sworn to protect.

This story-driven, third person game uses a 3D engine with dynamic cameras and other technologies developed by Momentum AS. Their remarkable patented facial animation technology is put to excellent use, as the game features over fifty personable characters that you’ll frequently engage in dialogue throughout your investigation. Using the classic mouse in a point and click interface, players have responded enthusiastically to the intuitive and responsive control. The game features a wide variety of organic obstacles ranging from logic puzzles to hi-tech gadget manipulation to dialogue and inventory challenges.

I had Blade Runner for the PC years which was not only a point and click game but had action elements where you had to shoot replicants, interigate suspects using the eye viewer and use the photo viewer to find clues, as well as it being set in real time where if you were at a certain location something else would be happening somewhere else and multipule endings made it one of the best game in the P&C genre.

This game looks very promising for an adventure title. Not sure what the final verdict is, but I’ll download it and see for myself.

Nice speed on the torrent (sarcasm). Downloading at like max ~30Kbyte/s which is just ridiculously slow. See this is the problem with torrents. People with ridiculous speeds uploading.
