CSI 4 Hard Evidence PROPER-AVENGED
Crime Scene investigations: Hard Evidence is the fourth video game to be based on the famous TV series of the same name. Released by group PROCYON and then propered a short while later by AVENGED you get to try and solve crimes in much the same way they do on the telly all in glorious 3D! The proper reason is because ‘ PROCYON did something wrong’ no idea what but if you are planning on downloading this then you should go with the AVENGED version just to be on the safe side. The release comes in at 1.5 GB and with no copy protection at all (weird for a game published by Ubisoft). Have fun solving crimes!

problem with the previous ones was the fixed resolution with no windowing option. doubt they’ve fixed that.

I can’t get it work. I mounted it to virtual drive, installed it. Then it asked me to register which I didn’t do. Then when I try to run it, I get a black screen with a huge pointer and finger. Then I get no way to exit, and had to shut down comp. manually. I looked for crack files and didn’t see any.So what am I doing wrong. I really want to play this.

I have black screen problem as well… my computer ran the previous CSI game fine.

^^ I also get a black screen like you but if i leave it a little while it eventually comes on maybe try leaving the black screen a bit longer works for me
Ok I left it on for about an hour and it was still black so I uninstalled and reinstalled in minimum instead of full. I still got the black screen but about a minute later the menu popped up! Woohoo.. The game still freezes for a bit at certain points but it’s not really a big deal
Black screen happens cause the game asks for permission
to access the internet in the background. So set permissions
in your firewall for the Gameupdate.exe & csi4.exe
(they’re in your install folder).
ok just found that using the desktop exe makes this happen tried from program files np started up np
deny when your game asks to update

soz just permit your firewall csi4.exe then when you start click deny to update works fine
I have the same problem with the black screen. I bought the game from the store yesterday and I can’t find whats the problem my firewall is off
@maryland: Try one of these..
1) lower your desktop resolution to like 1024×768 before
running the game.
if it gets you nothing:
2) Go to your install folder and find a ‘prefs.prop’ file.
Copy it somewhere as a backup first, then delete it from the
installation folder. Run the game.
I think this way it will run on windowed mode, and maybe
you’ll end up fixing it then through the options.
That’s actually what i did in the first place and got to
see that the firewall was poping out in the background etc.

How many crime to solve are there?
I’ve just collected the footprint and found the shoe. I also picked the piece of plastic but not really sure what to do with it. DO I have to compare it? With what? I don’t have the other piece and the partner says that the mobile lab is not equiped enough to do this. What should I do then. Please….
I bought the game last night, I’m on the last case right now, and it is fan-freakin’-tasic! To those wondering if the game is in different languages and or subtitles… yes. When I installed it the game it asked which language I prefer. I didn’t pay attention to which others were offered, but I remember seeing at least three other options. So I imagine Spanish would be one of them. Also, there are five cases. In each case you have three chances to get bonuses. By catching bugs for Grissom, for checking everything out, and for finishing the case. Best CSI game yet! Yet, I do really miss the fun mini games.
I’ve deleted the file so i can open the window, my firewall doen’t block it anymore but i still get the “Bink error” box with error opening file in it??
I have another problem. When I start the game, it stop responding, block my computer, and I must manualy restart it! I have Intel 2.4GHz, 1Gb RAM, ATI 9250 video card…

Ivan, do NOT run the icon in your desktop, run de CSI4.EXE file in your installation folder and block it access to the internet.
And YES, it has spanish language and subtitles

So i download this game then i get a iso file.I open it with magicisomaker and click on setup in a list of different files and an error comes up and i can either debug it or close.Happens everytime.
I read threw what people say here,one guy says get HJPlit so i do and i split it and now all i got is 35 files that i dont know what to do with.

I downloaded and used demontools and it worked.
I had the option when installing to pick either English,French,Italian,German or Spanish.
I removed the file prefs.prop and the game works fine now,no black screen

deleting / ranaming ‘um.dll’ solved a problem for me.
i cant “play” the video tape evidence. i keep getting the stupid bink error, error opening file, something like that. what do i do? im on my first case.
I had same probles with black screen and then bink error
solved by getting rid of the prof.prep file and making sure that I re-installed the full version. When I had got rid of file but was using core instal only I kept getting bink error
