Crysis Update 1.1-ViTALiTY

This cracked update from ViTALiTY is not exactly new (released 2d 22h 40m 20s ago) but it passed me by and seeing that Crysis is popular here is a post about it. Electronic Arts has released a patch for Crysis updating it to v1.1. Pretty important patch with a few bug fixes, graphical perfromace tweaks and enhancements in gameplay. Patch and crack is inlcuded so it comes to about 130 MB, nothing if you downloaded the game :) . Have fun.

Fixes:

  • Damage dealt to vehicles when shot by LAW has been made consistent - F12 (screenshot) now works in restricted mode as well
  • When player melees during gun raise animation, their gun will not be in a permanently raised position anymore
  • Memory leaks and potential crashes

Updates:

  • Improved SLI / Crossfire support and performance
  • Improved overall rendering performance (DX9 and DX10)
  • Enabled VSync functionality in D3D10

Tweaks:

  • Reduced grenade explosion radius in multiplayer
  • Clamped water tessellation to avoid cheating in MP
  • Reduced LAW splash damage vs. infantry in PowerStruggle mode
  • Slowed Rocket projectile speed down in MP slightly

    Unless you have SLI, or a very lowspec PC, it isn’t much faster.

    It’s a good update, if you have the game but aren’t playing - try this.

    Went from averaging ~25fps to just under 30fps at high (water and postprocessing at very high), 1280×800, 2xAA with a 2.6GHz Opteron, 2GB of RAm and an 8800GT.
    Also, gameplay feels smoother. Good patch.

    it’s so very amusing to see everyone bashing crysis. :)
    most of these kids can’t play online anyway, cause they pirated their copy. that’s good for the rest of the community. less noobs…

    As long as you have a PC fast to run it Crysis is an amazing game. Apart from the graphics the gameplay is also great.

    Been playing since release and it’s awesome if you have good PC, love multiplayer to, suit powers make multi so much mroe fun than most games released today.

    They don’t mention fixing the saved game bug which occurs in the last level, no target lock, I had to reload the whole level for it to work.

    Eh, as far as I know (and I’ve finished the game) you can’t rip off stuff with your bare hands. Looks to me it’s the falling part of the jumping animation.

    Does this update make the game less like Far Cry? I hope so. What a lame arse game Crysis is, the level design, atmosphere, and controls are almost identical to FAr Cry. Even the placement of docks and huts on beaches is EXACTLY the same, it’s like, yay, we got this awesome graphics engine, lets waste it on making the exact same game we had in our last game instead of using it for, I don’t know, something GOOD.

    It’s certainly no mystery as to why this game only sold 80,000 copies worldwide; it’s not cuz most pc’s can’t handle it, its cuz everyone already has Far Cry. It’s free now.

    i have 7600gs(planning to get 8800gt :D), i can play nicely with high-medium-low setting.
    (4 online play i use all low setting to get more fps)
    it still look good. for me i like the gameplay.
    i can do stealth and ambush attack or run n gun style.

    i wonder why people bash this game

    whats the deal with the patch then, whenever I try to install it, it unpacks etc, and then tells me i need the actual disk in the drive to continue the patch, i try mounting the image but still doesn’t work, any ideas?

    The same story here .. this is a stupid fix … its the original patch with one folder as crack ..

    With out the original disk , this work around is useless !!

    I had 2 7600GS 512meg cards, running sli for a total of 1gig video…
    I finally got my 8800GT 512meg, and running Crysis with this one card blows the sli setup outta the water… I now have everything set on high and this game plays smooth as silk… I do admit that without the settings on high, this game aint all that. It has that, been there done that, type feeling to it.. I was an avid Far Cry gamer.. Anyhow.. Just letting people know that with my AMD5600+ and my 8800GT. This game is freaking awesom to view.. The graphic help ALOt in getting you into this game.. Those Low/med settings with my old setup made the game playable, but with high graphics and a big phatty before game time, this game now is off the hook.. This update is great as well, it fixes the issues with game controllers not responding at times.. good work..

    Crysis was soooo bad at the start but once you hit the ice level it got me HOOKED!

    but all this time after a patch well I’ve already beat the game and didn’t notice a difference.

    I was at the last stage when i patched hmm no point in doing that but still thanks

    thats the same exact way i felt about the game… my setup played it pretty good, played good, looked good… it just wasnt what i expected… cod 4 is where its at….

    The game was very good (Intel Core Duo 2 3Ghz, 4GB RAM (4×1GB 800), GF 8800GTX) - everything HIGH, AA x16, AF x16. Finsihed the game in less than 3 days. I liked the game but when i had to fight those stupid aliens i started to hate it. For me it begins great but ends bad. Those aliens are a crap idea. I understand they wanted to show the new graphic engline though. the last battle with that alien mothership was the worst part of the game.

    So its a lot like FarCry, so what? The graphics and AI are incredible, and the suit powers make it interesting and fun to play.

    The guy that said he only played it for 10 minutes and then uninstalled should be pleased to know that there are now treatments for attention defecit disorder.

    Guys,don’t be tricked by this patch,there no god damn increase in fps for dx9 users,just dx10!The guys in rlslog should have used the changelog in the official site,not the one in fileshack which must have been written by a fool!!

    Thanks for the patch! Not a bad game. However try a real game, like Might and Magic II, running in a DOS emulator…now that is what gaming is!
