Crysis Bonus DVD-FLT

A fairly surprising release from Fairlight hit the scene few moments ago. A bonus DVD from Crytek’s Crysis is a clear signal that these guys have their hands on the full version of this much anticipated game and therefore we can expect it very soon (it takes some time to make a working crack). This Bonus DVD contains trailers, screenshots, high resolution renders and additional bonus content.

Earth, 2019. A team of US scientists makes a frightening discovery on an island in the South China Sea. All contact with the team is lost when the North Korean Government quickly seals off the area. The United States responds by dispatching an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation. As tension rises between the two nations, a massive alien ship reveals itself in the middle of the island. The ship generates an immense force sphere that freezes a vast portion of the island and drastically alters the global weather system. Now the US and North Korea must join forces to battle the alien menace. With hope rapidly fading, you must fight epic battles through tropical jungle, frozen landscapes, and finally into the heart of the alien ship itself for the ultimate Zero G showdown.

Jup, the actual Bonus DVD of Crysis delivers lots of Making Of-content and Interviews…don’t see anything about that in the NFO. Looks like we have to wait at least another week or two, which is fine..since it will be for free.

  13. blunden
    November 5th, 2007 | 19:29

@g0nz0: Of course it is. The only thing Halo 3 has going for it , according to me, is the CO-OP mode. :)

i’ve finished downloading and i’ve extrected the archives with hjsplit. now i have gotten the file “flt-cryb”. and that’s the snatch. it’s just declared as a file. what do i have to do with it now? i tried to mount it with daemon tools but the cd seems to be corrupted and renaming it to .rar and then extracting it doen’t seem to work either, because some file is missing then. any ideas?

This Download is not very worth it. It is good to have a better idea about what scenarios you will face in the game, but nothing too big. If you have a slow internet connection, do not loose you time with this, watch trailers in Youtube instead.
I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS GAME!

“Okey okey, let me just make something clear here. This being released does not mean the game has been leaked/bought by anyone. Some who pre-ordered the game, got this Bonus DVD quite a while ago, including myself. There’s really nothing special about it, which is why no one has bothered releasing it.”

  40. Kusiami
    November 5th, 2007 | 22:42

Guys this “bonus” DVD is handed to you when you pre-order the game at a retail store. It doesn’t mean a thing.

  41. November 5th, 2007 | 22:43

just wondering, does anyone see the relevance of putting 480MB onto a DVD when a CD would hold that fine ?

  42. sam
    November 5th, 2007 | 22:45

ANOTHER alien shooter!!! WHEN will game makers stop putting aliens in EVERY game!!?? I’m so tired of this same formula. It’s tired and worn out. I’m never buying any game that deals with aliens. I’m sick of it!!!!

Is there no other enemy that people can think of?

  43. menotu
    November 5th, 2007 | 22:46

You can buy this on a DVD in some Mediastores Mr.X

  44. Panda
    November 5th, 2007 | 22:48

Seeing too much of a game beforehand is great – makes me want to save my money for something else. :)

Stuff is always so hyped, after playing the demo of Crysis, I wasn’t that excited anymore. Nice storytelling with the cut-scenes though, but in the end just another FPS except you can shoot down trees. A bit.

btw It runs really well on my Asus M4N laptop with low everything at 640×480. That’s what I’ll play it on. I’m into “gameplay”, so if it gets boring at 640×480, then it’s a cr@p game even at 1680×1024.

I think this new FLT is really giving a bad name to a classic group. I mean to release a bonus DVD of a game… What’s next? 50 classic amiga games of the 80s?

    November 5th, 2007 | 23:55

@41 nope.. maybe DVDs are cheaper to mass produce then normal CDs now? ;p
but realy sucky to waste all that space, if i pre ordered id complain a bit for Crytek being so cheap and not pumping more stuff on the dvd..

  50. Nick
    November 6th, 2007 | 00:02

The reason it is on a DVD and not CD is because DVDs, now, are actually cheaper to produce, and nearly everyone nowadays has a DVD drive anyway.

I downloaded the demo of crysis few days ago and this game was like mind blowing…PLEASE DON’T COMPARE WITH HALO or any other game..If every game was like HALO then gaming industry would be boring…

This game will require windows genuine…The graphic quality is excellent…It took me about 15 mins to adjust with the game..loved it…

I am definitely going to buy the cd on 16th…

  52. LONEWOLF231
    November 6th, 2007 | 00:27

LOL! Who was comparing it to Halo???
lol this game BLOWS away the competition easily, there is no game and future title on either PS3 or 360 that can compare to this games graphical and physics features!

lol i see the releavance..and without no exageration..crysis is going to be the best game ever when it comes out..it might not be best multiplayer..or other stuff..but its the best game…best graphics..best gameplay….unbeatable..i want to see if audio is good to like in call of duty..

  55. QuadrupelQ
    November 6th, 2007 | 00:53

Looks promissing! But so did games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Hellgate London which didn’t turn out as great as they were hyped. Let’s hope this one can make the expectations come true (not a buggy wreck of a game).

But why oh why are the Americans the good guys again? That’s so ’80s (and a lie).

When I saw the bonus DVD I got excited and start to scroll back in other releases looking for the actual game. Then I read what it says and I’m still happy. I will get this. This is a nice game, but on the tech front there is some pissed off people about the view distance and the pixeled trees.

This is the Crysis Pre-Order Bonus DVD, which you’ve been able to pick up for a while now at Future Shop here in Canada for $4.99, or for free when pre-ordering the game.
It comes in a full size Crysis PC Game Box which contains the DVD (Art Disc), a full size poster, and an exclusive vehicle download (The Amphibious PC) via the included unlockable code.
Here’s a picture of this package:

    November 6th, 2007 | 09:12

Your assumption isn’t nessasarily true. Often stores will hand out the bonus CD’s along with the game (they usually go with pre-orders). So its quite possible someone handed out the bonus cds ahead of time, or someone working at a store has the bonus cds.

  65. G-lock
    November 6th, 2007 | 09:26

good at least they dont have to rush to make a decent working crack for it , these past couple of weeks FLT have been releasing cakk .

    @64

    You call that a computer?

  67. Lasher
    November 6th, 2007 | 12:47

I doubt this game will be bugged. the beta was fairly smooth even on vista which at the time was unsupported. On windows XP it played almost perfectly. I was kinda dissapointed with Vista’s performance in the demo, it could be just my PC but I basically got the same frames in the demo, It was just that I could ramp up the details a bit more.

I’m running a X2 3800@2.5Ghz, Geforce 8800 GTS 640, 2G RAM, and I get about 26 FPS on the demo with all settings on high, Music, Shaders and Water on Very High. it’d probably be a bit more stable on XP but I tried to install a dual boot and XP ended up corrupting and POST and wasn’t installed properly. So I’m stuck using Vista.

the only way this game could truely fail, is if the action blows, leaves you wanting at every level, and I don’t think it will, it could be true but I’ve read things on gamespot that really shine this game above the rest so we’ll have to see, but the assault level, videos and written description make this game look fairly good so, I am happy it’s finally comming out and I can’t wait.

  68. Stamenid
    November 6th, 2007 | 13:22

    Game require intel core 2 duo processor @ 3.2 ghz for vista or 2.8 for xp,2 gb ram,graphic card (ati 1600 +) nvidia (8600 + ).
Game work with DX9 and DX10.
With game is included DX10 for XP.

it allows you to unlock the crysis demo, and give u the majority of the weapons in the game. I personally haven’t used it but it seems to work as it’s everywhere.

it gives u access to the minigun, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, nuke launcher, flak tank, nuke tank, and the super-powered helicopter.

you also get a really nasty alien to kill, that’s somewhere in the sky.
