Cry Baby 1990 DVDRip XviD iNT-PFa

1b9c.jpgHere is another release by the group PFa from an 17 years old movie starring Johnny Depp. This movie seems to be a musical romance that I haven’t seen and just because of Johnny Depp I think some of you will take the time to watch this. Maybe some people that already have seen the movie can advice us some more, thank you and enjoy!

Cult director John Waters goes mainstream sort of in this send-up of 1950s teen melodramas. Heart-throb Johnny Depp stars in the title role as a glamorous delinquent who heads a gang of hoods known as the Drapes. Trouble starts when Cry-Baby falls for a squeaky clean blonde from a rival group, the Squares. Their star-crossed romance sets off a rumble between the warring factions and Cry-Baby ends up doing time in reform school. Chock-full of rock ‘n roll and Waters’ usual cavalcade of eccentric celebrities, including Patty Hearst, Iggy Pop and former porn star Traci Lords.

This is kinda like a cheap Grease ripoff .. sort of like Dirty Dancing … meets Grease … and crashes into Hairspray!!

If you are into old school musicals you may like this kinda thing but if not, you may want to pass! It’s not my kind of movie but it wasn’t that bad to sit through either .. then again this was many years ago and I was probably high haha

Eh.. Just how does it beeing a parody disqualify it as beeing a chap ripoff??, isn’t that just exactly what every parody movie is???

I mean, the idea is to steal the plot of a popular movies and turn it into crap right? …. which makes it funny (right…)

It’s a pretty good movie. A very good mix of Grease and Hairspray. Really better that it sounds.

This movie when it first came out was John Waters first attempt to go main stream. If you never of seen any of his films you should…. they are something else and once you do, you can also see the humor, the edge to this movie and it shows something hollywood still lacks… the ability to show different point of view. Well worth the down load… try pink flamingos and have your favorite plastic dog poop… you can join Divine when she/he really did eat a fresh dog poop. Now you may get the idea where John Waters films are like… initially shot in 16MM and shown in New York first before going to the midnight shows.

@10 “the idea is to steal the plot of a popular movies and turn it into crap right?” there’s no wrong in cherishing what normal folk think as crap. In fact, it’s quite noble and courageous to stand against the flow of popular and intelligent opinion. Good for you!

can someone define the word gay as it is used on this site a lot… as i’m sure you cant call a film homosexual as it is a film and am sure films don’t have sex with other films…. thou movies which have excite the most hetro of men have all been treasured by the less hetro like our current loves Die HArd and
    rush hour 3.
