Building Implosion Escape
Criss is attempting to escape a 9 story imploding building in Florida. The former hotel is the site of the stunt which is filled with explosives and set to detonate. A group of bystanders are invited in for a look around and allow them to shackle, cuff, and leave him behind as they watch a live feed from a safe distance away. Criss must escape to the roof and climb aboard a waiting helicopter before it crumbles to the ground.

Chris Angel is a real jerk in real life… and yes this was one of his worst tricks espically since it was his last death defing one… But none the less he is a really good illiusionist… atleast his old stuff was good…
Some of Chris Angels stuff is good.. when there is a crowd of 14 thousand people and the presenter is trying to act surprised when something ‘wrong’ happens it becomes very lame very quick..

In the show they said he would pass houdini as the greatest escape artist aftert his stunt (yes I call this a stunt and not illusion to hype up his 100million dollar vegas show)… plus couldn’t even get past the first door LOL had to break open the window. Obvious cut away after the second door. That whole thing was pre-recorded and played back. The announcer was amazingly lame… “30 SECONDS CHRIS!!!!” and at the end he didn’t even bother to sell it so you knew something was coming. Biggest load of hype and BS I ever seen. Atleast Copperfield is ‘entertaining’ unlike this idiot.

um, all magicians are “fake” and all illusionists are “fake”. their goal is to make you believe the perception is real and to not be able to figure it out so easily. Its entertainment you jacka$$es.
I’m sure that he WANTED to go into the helicopter, but in all honesty do you really think he did not have an exit strategy in case SOMETHING went wrong? Of course, I am sure he had a plan A, plan B, plan C.
Was it hyped, of course. Was it hype for his Vegas show, of course, did millions watch? Sure did. So there you go.
As I tell everyone I know who does not like something on tv, change the channel and watch something else and do not download it from the Internet. Where there is one of you who hates on him, there is someone else willing to adore him.

I’ll tell you what is real: the power to deceive. The deception itself is real but not the actual object/content of the deception.
If you want to know how he did this keep reading. If you don’t, then stop reading.
If you watch he puts the handcuffs in his pocket, but they remain hanging out. Easily visible on the first camera on the inside of the building. Then when he picks the first doors lock and goes into the hallway you never see the handcuffs hanging out of his pocket again. Meaning that they were pre-recorded. Which makes sense since he never showed you any of the “pre-recorded” cameras before the stunt. You get some very decent shots of where the handcuffs should be hanging out but no sign of them. And if you have ever seen any footage of cameras inside an imploding building, they don’t just go to static. And another thing. A local news station that was there to record the event has some footage of what could be Criss running out of the building from the left into the field in front of the imploded building. Yea cat I watched it at the beach, more for the implosion then Criss. Then watched the show at the house and figured out how he did it. Being a “magician” myself, I know how they try to deceive.

@31, I am a fan of Criss, tired of the people hating on him for a profession that you know is fake, but it looks real and can YOU figure it out, some yes some no. Its entertainment and he is an entertainer. Hats off to him and I hope he keeps doing his demonstrations. Obviously he is not hurting too bad, look at his rides.
I want to see this guy do his little flying thing over the Niagara Falls, or Grand Canyon! He is my hero. Anyone who says bad things about this man, is a bad person! Just because his tricks are fake does not mean he is not fun to watch.
