Creative ALchemy Audigy Edition v1.00.05 WinVista-TE

Twisted EndZ (TE) released a useful tool for gamers who owns Windows Vista & Creative Audigy sound card. As Creative stated on their web page, this tool will improve your gaming experience on new OS, with its HQ audio effects. For now it supports only specific listed games, but later with new updates, will support many more.

Creative ALchemy provides multi-channel audio for legacy game titles running on Windows Vista.
The removal of the Vendor Extension mechanism from Windows Vista’s DirectSound implementation will compromise audio in certain legacy game titles that use EAX or DirectSound3D (DS3D), usually resulting in stereo output without any effects.

Creative ALchemy is a powerful tool that restores the audio for a DirectSound3D game running on Windows Vista to its former glory – in full surround sound with hardware accelerated audio mixing, sampling rate conversion and EAX effects.

    @neocentek
    No, you don’t need this for XP. It gives you 3D sound/EAX (something you already have in XP) in older games running under Vista.

    @Der34
    It is free for X-Fi users but for whatever reason they wanted to milk some more money out of Audigy owners. This costs 10$ to buy from Creative.

    @WingAttackGroupExIII
    They have some videos of serious Sam with/without effects on the site in the post.

    The difference should be quite dramatic. Definitely something you notice right away.

    Make sure after you install this to check your game settings! You will need to enable the EAX.
