Crank High Voltage READNFO R5 XviD-DEViSE

Finally here is the R5 of Crank 2 synced up with some english audio by P2P group DEViSE who usually bring us quality releases. Crank: High Voltage is the 2009 sequel to the 2006 action film, Crank. It picks up right where the first film finished. Quality wise video is pretty good as expected from a normal R5 but with some distortion in the sky on the video sample and sound quality is fairly poor as its from a CAM source and the video sample looks slightly out of sync to me (but DEViSE claim in their NFO that the actual movie is in sync), ill wait for a better release personally.

Notes From NFO: Okay, we’ve used the russion dvd9 for video source and our cam audio. Filtered both and made this release on 2 cd to have at least perfect video, which on 1cd is far from perfect in the darker scenes. Also our release is synced unlike the previous NOilR release. Thank you to PrisM and enjoy!

Update: Crank 2 High Voltage R5 CAM AUDIO XVID – STG has been released, although still pretty poor CAM audio is used as no line audio available (Torrent – NFO - Video Sample)

The indestructible hopped-up hitman Chev Chelios, played to the hilt once again by Jason Statham, returns in Crank 2: High Voltage, picking up where the first film left off except this time, Chelios is chasing a Chinese gangster who hijacked his heart and substituted it with a mechanical one that needs to be jolted with an electric charge to stay pumping. The maverick directing/writing team of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor returns to inject more caffeinated craziness into Lionsgate’s burgeoning action series, with Amy Smart and Dwight Yoakam set to reprise their roles from the original. Efren Ramirez, Bai Ling, Clifton Collins Jr., and Corey Haim round out the cast.

    There has only been 2 previous releases of this, a scene cam and p2p cam… lots of people are waiting for the release and its a huge improvement on quality as its a R5 hence the post

    the DEVISE as got a bad flicker in the picture
    and the NOiIR is out of sink in the sound
    of the 2 the NOiIR one is better its only just out of sink
    but the flickering in the DEVISE one would do your head in
    after 10mins

    Can we get some comments from the peeps that actually watched this DEVISE version?

    Are there really flickers?

    If the noir is out of sync but the vid. are from the same source, one can use VLC player to fix the sync issue.

    I downloaded noir's release and it is horrible. Video pixelates like hell every now and then. Colors are ok tho, audio is horrible. Make that bigger resolution and higher bitrate and it's devise. Anyway, watching this is movie deserves better quality by audio and video than those 2 p2p groups have shown so far.

    a R5 is just a russian release (they bring it out sooner to combat piracy) but with russian audio as well…

    The scene puts available audio on that dvd quality picture. But that audio is mostly from cams or TS(wich is better)

    Sync Fix FOR NOiLER RELEASW

    The Sync is slightly out on this by 0.3s. So here’s a quick fix

    1. go to http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/

    2. download 1.8.8 (stable) 32/64 bit depending on your system

    3. extract the VirtualDub-1.8.8.zip to its folder

    4. run VirtualDub.exe from the extracted folder

    5. once opened click file, open video file, find where you have saved Crank 2.avi, click open

    6. you will probably get a VirtualDub Warning about Variable Bitrate Detected, ignore it and just click OK

    7. click on audio from the top tab, select interleaving.

    8. Uncheck Enable audio/video interleaving

    9. In the delay audio track by, type 300, then click OK

    10. click on video from the top tab, make sure direct stream copy is selected.

    11. then click on file, save as AVI, rename it to something like Crank 2 High Voltage then click OK.

    12. let it run and once its done youll have your sync problem fixed

    Should only take literally 10 mins maximum

Whaaaaat? that's the stupist thing I've ever heard…why would anyone who's downloaded it and knows the quality not post it to save others from unneeded bandwidth usage for something that might not be download worthy? That's just stupid! This is all about "sharing"…do we need to go to kindergarten again and learn that word….s h a r i n g.

    putting noiIr's release into virtual dub, like someone gave instructions for above, works great…(why waste bandwidth again) Took more like 2 – 3 minutes though, not ten :D

    GREAT MOVIE!! Audio is pretty bad but i'm sure a better will be along soon enough. Actually, laughed and cheered through this.

    BTW – Mike Patton (Ex Faith No More) did the soundtrack for this and it's incredible.

    I read the audio is better on this and it'd prolly be a little cooler to watch a much better copy since the ts readnfo devise copy …. if the audio is more in sync I might burn this to dvd.

    NOTES:
    This is a mixture of devises audio (Thanks) muxed to the russian dvd9…..
    The video source was good but not as good as most R5's ….video had black borders all round and needed some tweaking.
    Audio not as bad as some users are making out……for cam it's pretty decent….there some volume level issues in some parts,but
    we have remotes and can lower or high the volume

    WORK DONE:
    Stripped and changed the EQ of devises audio in adobe audition and then re synced it back to the russian dvd9.
    Cropped all black borders .
    Increased lum,contrast alot
    Increased gamma,chroma slightly
    Lowered the rgb black base lot.
    Used a contour filter for a touch more sharpness.

    Overall based on a R5 v9 a7.5 m6…………Don't get much better than this until we have direct audio or the retail comes out

    This movie is a blatant ripoff of Ironman. "Let's make it so that our hero has a heart that has to be charged" Wasn't that in Ironman? The guy's heart in Ironman had to be protected from shrapnel by an electronic device that he had to wear 24/7.

    Safe to say I won't be seeing this crap. And Staff, I read the first page, you guys need to grow up and let the people say what they want.
