How is this any better then the new winamp?

    May 23rd, 2008 | 18:51

everything is better than winamp these days.

I really like Cowon portable mp3 players, but the software is a little bit on the sucky side.

I’ll stick to foobar when I need to check tracks on the PC.

Old School CDEX is a good program for ripping cd’s and converting to MP3/wav. I still use that for my converting needs.

OT here, but just wondering if anyone has heard if/when Mass Effect will arrive on the scene? I have it pre-ordered but would love to “start early” :).

so whats the verdict on this?

as far as video adjustments does it have more options than vlc? like the brightness and contrast type of stuff.

on a side note….is there any burnin program that allows you to adjust the video (color, contrast)and then burn it with those adjustments? i keep sayin adjustments but whats that sh** called? video equalizer?

foobar2000 is the swiss army knife of audio apps. Everything else is just frilly window dressing. Plus the audiophile community backing fb2k can’t be beat (the good kind, not the anal type that thinks they can hear a difference between 24awg and 22awg wire and thinks super expensive Monster cables are actually good lol). :)

I use an older version of this as my default audio and video player. It’s lite and quick. I only use VLC occasionally when this doesn’t play it. I never upgraded after reading a lot of complaints about version 7 on the cowon web site, but maybe things have improved. Media Monkey used to be good, but I hear that recent versions actually change the music files on your hard drive.
