Another Saturday and a cool COPS episode. What we have in the first scene, a suspect fleeing on foot from an officer that is about to get ‘tazed‘ and then gets tazed. It is dark out and we get to see the full effect of the tazer in action, the wonder blue halo of high voltage that gets infused into the suspect. Amazingly, another black man gets arrested (there have been how many in a row now ? Someone needs to start taking track! ) . Sometimes I wonder why the suspects run like that, as the consequences are far more severe than if they would of cooperated normally, and could of even been just given a warning and went on with their night/day. Enjoy a little bit of real-life action for the day

this will save you some precious time so the rlslog can focus on release instead of moderating

Well, if you look at the statistics, the average law-abiding citizens is more likely to be killed by an “officer of the law” than a terrorist. Now just think if you enjoy the use of some rec. drugs our overlords don’t wish for us to use… how much more likely it is for a cop to be our killer than a terrorist?
Some suspects run as to draw the attention of MORE cops. So that when they are finally caught, there will be so many cops around that there should be at least a couple good cops in the bunch. This theory doesn’t hold up in a few places, like New Orleans or Chicago. In those places it’s best to just run like hell as the cops are more corrupt than even the politicians.
Get a police scanner… you’ll find that in lots of pursuits the suspects get away. Those times don’t make it on cops, it doesn’t make for good tv, plus, it would give criminals more reasons to run. COPS is a one-sided, pro police-state entertainment program. It appears to be working too, because we still have smart ppl asking stupid questions like, “I wonder why the suspects run”?
@Willy, I know your not that insipid. Do white people eat and mass murder victims at a higher rate than other races? Have white people (through wars) killed more people on earth than other races?? It’s a WHITE run Justice system, so OF COURSE it would seem Blks are causing most of the crime when the system mainly focuses on catching BLACKS. That was NOT a racist comment. I would suggest for the people that post in here to download all the previous episodes of the current season of Cops. Almost all the time there is a black guy getting arrested in the beginning, that’s just how the show is.

The concept of reparations would be the most retarded concept known to man. Im an American of Italian decent, my forefathers never enslaved anyone…why should I pay?
If the concept held any water, I want money too for my ancestors being oppressed upon coming to the states…on that note, lets pay everyone something for any and all troubles their forefathers endured (which should include near everyone).

I am sorry but I seem to notice the black commmunity bringing up past troubles much more then the Jewish community. After WWII, the Jews picked themselves up by the bootstraps and made something of themselves instead of just feeling sorry and complaining life is not fair. Maybe im just crazy for looking at life as one big game of poker. We all arrive at the same table, yet are dealt different hands. Maybe you were born into a rich white family and had everything handed to you, a royal flush..or maybe you weren’t, the point is were all playing the same game. You cant throw the cards down and say, screw this..I wanna play blackjack instead, you cut your losses and move forward…and maybe, if you keep a good poker face, you may just walk away from the table with a lot more than you started with, maybe you can even share some of the knowledge and wealth with your son and help him have an easier life than you did.
