Atleast one different thing about this; it’s portable.

You can have it on an USB-stick and carry it with you. I use X-InfraRecorder for that now, but i’ll try this instead.

    Wow.
Very impressed with this little piece of software.
I couldn’t decide lately between Nero Express and Ashampoo Burning Studio.
Out of the blue I decided to try this little proggy and I’m sure glad I did because this takes the cake.
It’s just 4 MB, very light, visually beautiful (and skin-able) and gets the job done.
This is my burning software from now on.
    Thanks RLSLOG :)

Just installed, nice app, not a memory hog, interface is fairly clean/user friendly and it’s easily portable. Thanks for the .torrent Santa :) Merry Belated Christmas. I’ll up to some filehosting sites and post links in case anyone has trouble with .torrents or what have you.

    * Can you people not read the text that overlays the reply box, before you reply. I believe it does say no 1st, OFF-TOPIC or other useless replies like .. dvdfab and anydvd is all anyone needs, sweeney todd release and/or NT2, ?! suggestions of other apps, or smb with that childish crap. RLSLOG does have a IRC channel for those sort of things or you go “surf the web” and find for yourself. These people should be warned and/or banned, since likely they’ll continue to do it. Sorry for the rant but I’ve browsed through so many topics today (previous weeks) with nonsense, like I previously mentioned. Good site for rls info though.

Great little utility, small (3.13MB installed), simple and does the job well. Used nero for a long time until it started to become bloated then jumped to ashampoo burning studio which is not really bad but a little buggy and not as compact as Complex Evolution.

Tried Cdburnerxp and Infrarecorder but they are both too full of bugs and unstable.

If you want to try a really good free alternative then try jetbee free. It is Complex Evolution minus the skinning and minus the cd/dvd copying. If you need the cd/dvd copying you can supplement with imgburn.

    December 27th, 2007 | 07:12

Forgot to say jetbee free is made by the same guy who develops complex evolution.

    December 28th, 2007 | 02:10

    Nero is absolutely awful.

The only industry it leads is the scrapheap one.

Nice to see more lean s/w, not full of bloat.

imgburn, cdrwin (less than a meg), cdrdao (even smaller), Burnatonce. lots of choice, and all better than nero.

I am a female too. :) We are just a bit quieter and stealthier than most of the guys.

@16 You can burn an .avi file with just about anything. I burn it as a data file, but my DVD player plays every format I can throw at it.

If you are talking about burning it as a DVD compliant file, then you are talking about a slightly different process. Just Google “Burn avi as DVD”… it will turn up all kinds of ways.

    Good Luck!

I just read the homepage and thought I would add this…. this prog has:

Added complete Blu-Ray and HD-DVD support.

‘Device info’ window has been updated to show Blu-Ray and HD-DVD drives operational capabilities.

    Improved compatibility with Microsoft Vista.

Does this allow Halo 3 to run on a PC?

Nice dude haha that was classic halo3 fanboy. Next time ask your mom for a program that will do that for xmas, along with your xbox360.

Then you’ll be able to play Halo3, surf releaselog and not pick up chicks, not that the last two are mutually exclusive, according to some of these comments….

Can you give me the exact full name of a file giving you this error. Also right click on the file and pull up properties… what does it say in properties?

The first thing that comes to mind, is that you are not downloading valid rar files. Sometimes files will download as .htm The other idea that springs to mind, it that the archive client may be something different, like 7Zip.

I have been using Nero since I got my first CD burner 10 years ago. On ocassion I use the Cheetah command line burner.

Always one to experiment I dl this and I really, really liked it.

It works very well. I burn a dozen or so DVD’s every day and I was getting some failures with Nero and Cheetah both (3-5% on average). I’ve burned over 60 DVD’s with Evolution so far without a single failure.

I hope everyone has as good luck as I have.

    Just my two cents…
