Common – Finding Forever (2007)
One of my favourite artists and one of the best rappers out there is Common. He’s back with his seventh album “Finding Forever” which will be released in stores on the 31st of July. For those who don’t know common he had a song in 1994 called “I Used to Love H.E.R.” which had become one of his best known songs. He also starred in the movie Smokin’ Aces with Alicia Keys i don’t know what role he played in the movie as i haven’t bothered to see the movie yet but I’m hoping he played a good role, anyway enjoy the album!
Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. (b. March 13, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois), better known as Common, is an American hip hop artist known for lyrics that focus on spirituality, poverty, and other issues to do with social awareness. Common debuted in 1992 with the album Can I Borrow A Dollar?, and maintained a significant underground following into the late 90s, after which he gained notable mainstream success through his work with the Soulquarians. His first major label album, Like Water for Chocolate, received widespread critical acclaim and moderate commercial success. Its popularity was matched by 2005’s Be, which was nominated in the 2006 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. Common has also started a burgeoning film career, starting with a role in the action thriller, Smokin’ Aces, which will be followed by a part in American Gangster.

Finding Forever is the seventh album by Common. It is currently scheduled to be released on July 31, 2007. Like Common’s previous album, Be (2005), Finding Forever is primarily produced by Kanye West. Common confirmed there to be a big U.K. artist on a single on the album. Many thought this was MonKane, as there were sightings of them together. The artist was later confirmed to be singer Lily Allen. The album leaked to the internet on July 19, 2007.

“buy this album when it comes out. support Common.”
Do YOU really think he needs the money?
amazing album
Mr. X is a big fat ugly homo
rap sucks.
Common, however, doesn’t.
Thanks for the torrent – about time some decent hip-hop came out to stand out from all the sellout shit on the market…
Better than the average rapper, but rap still is crap to me. But at least he doesn’t turn it into a gangsta-bitches-freakshow like other rappers do. So if I would like rap I would probably listen to Common. Heck, I’m listening to him now and I’m not hating it!
Still not my kind of music though…
I agree with nizzuts this is a great album and deserves to be bought. Support real artist like Common who don’t rap about the same shit in every song and act like gangstas, pimps and all other shit most rappers try to be like.
I don’t like rap/hip-hop too much, but Common is a decent artist.
the anti-rap ignorance on this website is laughable, seeing as how other music genres are pretty much garbage as well.
Brilliant as usual. Common (sense) is not your run of the mill average crap you see propagated on BET. Real lyrics about real life.
Drivin’ Me with Lily is off the hook. Brilliant work in a world for of crappy rap/hip-hop.
Drivin’ Me with Lily is off the hook. Brilliant work.
Drivin’ Me with Lily Allen is off the hook. Brilliant work. This album is top shit. Grab it. And if I do scrounge some money together I’m buying this one.
