Maybe that helps to reduce stress on their lines even though most people including me will try to cap it lol. Or sit and wait for "internet 2" they been testing for universities and governments. If I did something really bad to piss Comcast off, and they shut off my internet and refused to cooperate, I would have NO OTHER ALTERNATIVES! I just wouldnt have cable anymore...What is that called? A monopoly. Funny...the Anti-Trust act is suppose to protect us from such things. Ironically enough, it is the government itself that prevents competing cable companies to service the same area...(eg, the government is disregarding its own law) Lovely...if only I had the ability to move someplace else... Because they own the rights, Comcast isn't allowed to produce their own fiber-optic networks. Verizon is currently testing the technology in smaller areas and it's being met with encouragement. Comcast has been monitoring their activities and is getting scared. They won't be around much longer once fiber-optic begins to spread further. I don't get how they plan on controlling my computers resources. No one that I know would use that crap program in that case.
