Columbine Understanding Why DVDRip XviD-SiNK
Group SiNK has released this interesting documentary last night. I was not sure whether I should post this one, mostly due to the fact that there’s not a lot of information about it and it doesn’t even have an IMDB page. But I figure the subject is indeed quite fascinating and many of you might be interested enough to check it out. The idea behind this documentary is to get into the minds of the two killers and try to understand the reasons why they went into Columbine high school on April 20, 1999 and started shooting their fellow students. I think there is enough content here to not make you feel like you wasted your time.

One main reason it happened is because the parents werent assertive enough. They probably were allowed to do whatever they wanted free will without any interaction of the parents.
I wonder if it is ever possible to understand what goes on in the minds of those who go on a killing spree but I will have a look at this.

I read that story too. What the Michael Moore documentary forgot to tell was how the police found one classmate in the gym jerking off over his dead friends bodies.

There are no answers, there are only more questions. To answer a question with more questions leads to confusion about the nature of the original question. Then you start questioning whether you truly understood the question or whether the question caused a mistrust in your answering. The heroes of our culture are not portrayed as people with compassion and understanding. Violent revenge is popularised as a way to get “get even” or “do justice”. Our stories tell us that violence is accepted and *sanctioned* as a way of expressing what you feel.
Dealing with your feelings is not taught in school. Compassion, patience, self-worth.. are not taught to children. We think they just “pick it up” from somewhere.
The world is confusing right now. There’s a lot going on, a lot to be angry about, a lot to feel alienated from. My guess is many kids don’t know how to deal with what they see. It’s hard enough to deal with family life.
If you’re angry, and you hate yourself, you might end up taking that hate out on others. It starts there.
We don’t teach kids to love themselves and love others. We teach anything but. We teach that life is hard, and everyone has to fight for themselves. It’s the American Way.
So.. no wonder. No wonder at all, really.
I saw this documentary last night, its interesting and definitely worth watching, you get to hear the voices of the people and their relatives affected by this tragedy, I guess in America this case has been analysed enough, but for people outside of America who have only seen Bowling for Columbine, this is worth downloading.
The situation is not as simplistic as being pro/anti guns, there was a lot more to this than just the issue of weapons, personally I’m with Chris Rock on this one, the parents should be in jail too, how can they be so dumb not to notice their behaviour or the fact that the guys were stockpiling weapons. Surely some snooping around their bedrooms, checking bags, checking emails/diaries etc would have alerted them, the real problem is this liberal hippy attitude that some parents have where they believe kids have a “right to privacy” etc. If I smoked some weed, my parents would know by just looking at me lol, because they were smart and gave a damna about me!

this documentary offered no new insight. focuses too much on the investigators, rather than the killers.

I am close to some Columbine victims. What we have learned is that the killers were provoked into a suicidal homicidal rage and decided to retaliate for an arrest that possibly included sexual molestation. See natgeo “final report Columbine”. There has been no post-Columbine investigation of the arrest that provoked the killers. Many victims families have requested even to President Clinton for an independent investigation. No Luck.
