Coldplay – Viva La Vida (2008)

Due out the mid June, Coldplay’s latest album entitled Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends (Viva La Vida for short) is now available for your downloading pleasures. Now, I’ve never been interested in Coldplay but this album might be their most listen-able to date. This album has been long anticipated, as many fans have been guessing at the albums’ name since late ‘06. The band itself didn’t want to play any songs on their recent tours as they were afraid they would leak onto the internet. Well, leaked on to the internet a few days early, I hope some of you can find the courage to enjoy Coldplay’s latest. Enjoy!

Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, or its short name Viva la Vida, is the fourth studio album by British band Coldplay. Viva la Vida takes its name from a painting by Frida Kahlo, the acclaimed 20th century Mexican artist; the title’s literal translation is “live the life”. “X&Y was a little forced, with very generalised songs that were written simply to sell the album, but Viva la Vida returns to the Rush of Blood to the Head days, with each song coming directly from the bands experience, with soaring lyrics sung beautifully and music to really move you. This album is that rare thing, not just preduced, felt by the band and most definitly enjoyed by the listener. Coldplay are about to peak with this album. Enjoy” (from HMV.com review)

    The source isn’t really defined, the quality differs from track to track; for the most part it’s pretty good, but there’s 2 or 3 tracks that seem to get louder and quieter. But the best tracks in in good quality.

    That 320 release was a leak (possible transcoding) and was not a scene release. The scene release that is floating around is called Coldplay-Viva_La_Vida-2008-ORDEATHANDALLHiSFRiENDS.

    If you want the non-scene release just check out any dump site. Its lying around.

    When I find an RS link or any others to the actual scene I’ll throw it up.

    Someone please share a collection of famous movie songs. Like the one from Anger Management when Adam Sandler sings “I Feel Pretty”. But I don’t want the Adam Sandler version, the one with the girls.

    When will you guys finally realize that there is no acoustic version of Lovers in Japan?!? Track 12 is a bad quality and shorter version of Track 10 (Death And All His Freinds).

    And btw: The acoustic version of Lost? is the B-side of the Violet Hill single.

    No, Timbaland didn’t produce the album. Brian Eno did, and he did an amazing job. The album shines brilliantly.

    And other than Life in Technicolor, all the tracks are of equal quality (bitrate wise). And as far as actual quality of the album goes, I would say it’s their best.

    I’m still unable to find a good quality copy of Life in Technicolor. http://www.zshare.net/audio/13218602a8f7ae9d/ must have been upconverted, because it still sounds really tinny, despite having a bitrate of 320. Does anyone have a copy that doesn’t have something wrong with it?
