Coldplay MP3 Pack (Studio Album)

Again, it’s discography post. This time I choose one of my favourite band “Coldplay”. The discography of Coldplay, a British alternative rock band which formed in 1998, consists of four studio albums, five extended plays, twenty-two singles, one live album, and one compilation album. As the title says, only studio albums are included here. Enjoy!

    Sorry man, but what exactly is "alternative" about Coldplay to deserve such a title? They are a very mainstream-alike pop-rock band that nobody can consider "alternative" in any way.

    They started as a Radiohead-on-a-diet replica and they went downwards ever since. Lately the only interesting thing I can relate with myself and has to do with them is Gwyneth Paltrow.

    Alternative? LOL, I consider them more to be in the crap-rock or wuss-rock genre.

    @3

    I disagree. I think they started on a Travis-on-a-diet replica. Other than that, everything else is pretty much spot on.

    They are, to my mind, a dreadfully boring band, with only one or two tunes that I can say are OK.

    …and let's face it, the only band I consider to be Radiohead-on-a-diet is Muse….and Muse are pretty good!

    Coldplay was mentioned at the hearing today, in the Pirate Bay trial, by John Kennedy (Ifpi) in an example of stuff searchable in TPB torrent database.

    …coincidence?

    Please don't mention Radiohead & Coldplay in the same sentence – unless, that is, you're saying Radiohead are tops & Coldplay suck the big one.

    Go listen to The Bends & you'll see what I mean. You too, Muse fans..

    Mind you, Muse aren't half bad… =]

    @trell

    Yes, you are absolutely right. These guys, regardless their admiration for Yorke and his company, are just an even softer version of Travis and such bands (Medal etc). It's just a pity that Releaselog decides to focus in already extremely mainstream stuff, instead of offering something new. When it comes to movies, they have the excuse that the post whatevers comes out. But with such stuff, they just lose an opportunity to inform about interesting material. It's so incredibly easy to listen and acquire such pointless music, that it gets on your nerves bumping onto it all the time.

    Heck…the only worthwhile music stuff I remember finding on Rlslog, was that Mono album, and that by chance alone, since Martin wasn't even aware of them. I must search through years of Rlslog memories in order to find anything else than pretentious mainstream sh!t when it comes to music.

    Sorry to those who are the mainstream haters, but I can't blame RLSLOG for posting this – like them or not, as far as music releases go you almost have to go mainstream on posting sites like this. Just take a look at MP3KINGZ's pre list, there's near 100 pre's a day, get over the fact most people don't want to listen to a band no one has ever heard of and isn't even near decent.
    Radiohead and Muse fans; cheers! I'm just saying don't dis on this because it's not "alternative" enough

    Lolz.

    This post is pretty dire. Not long ago I was amazed to see a Mono album here. Normal service has clearly been resumed. I won't hold my breath for the next good music-related post.

    No offense, Will. Just that your taste in music is offensive.

    You had best post the new Brakes record when it's available.

    'get over the fact most people don't want to listen to a band no one has ever heard of and isn't even near decent.'

    If Coldplay were unknown, would they suddenly become popular based on their overproduced stolen melodies? Probably, but that's no reason to support it. In fact, it's every reason to shun it so record companies will stop feeding us garbage music with no soul or depth. But fish swim in schools because it's safe, not because it leads to better food.
