Actually, nearly all of them are poor as hell. They wreck their bodies for a short video part that MIGHT get them enough sponsorships to snowboard everyday without starving. Other than a couple guys, most of them are couch surfing all winter.

Weird how jumping is so limited in those who actually compete, and yet everyone snowboards these days. Must be a sign of how “easy” it is to just “go straight and keep your skis at a specific angle until you’re ready to land”. Not even a challenge at all, huh?
