CodeWeavers CrossOver Mac Professional v7.0.2 MacOSX-DVT

Group DVT brings us the newest version of CrossOver for the Mac OS. Anyone who has ever used this app for Mac or Linux knows it is an amazing handy application. To be able to run other OS apps without having that OS installed is a gem. Well worth it to do away with that nasty Winders OS.

–Along with the Mac version, they released 4 different Linux versions.

CrossOver Mac allows you to install many popular Windows applications and games on your Intel OS X Mac. CrossOver includes an easy to use, single click interface, which makes installing Windows software simple and fast. Once installed, your application integrates seamlessly in OS X. Just click and run your application directly from the OS X Finder. Clicking a Windows file or document — including email attachments — will launch the appropriate Windows program, allowing you to work on the files. Best of all, you do it all easily and affordably, without needing a Microsoft operating system license.

Adding new Windows software is easy. Just place your install CD in your Intel Mac, and CrossOver will recognize it and offer to begin the installation process. CrossOver then completes the installation and configures your application to run on your Mac. That’s all there is to it.

WHAT’S NEW

Version 7.0.2:

  • Bug fixes:
    • Fixed a bug in 7.0 which prevented printing in upgraded installs.
    • Fixed running of Office 2000 and Office XP on some 64-bit machines.
    • Fixed a saving failure in some Word 2003 and Excel 2003 documents.
    • Re-enabled use of the ‘default bottle’ on the Mac.

that’s a paltry amount of Mac haters.
what’s wrong… insecurities over because ya bought an iPhone…?

I don’t think i’ve ever needed a Windows program. Could be useful. Thanks

Lol, wanting to do away with that “nasty windows os” but appearently still needing a program to run it’s programs… I’ll stick to my PC, you know, the one I can run everything on WITHOUT having to pull all kinds of tricks, and FAST.

For those that are hating on macs…shut up…seriously.

I don’t have a Mac, per-say…but I have a hackintosh with Leopard installed. This would be a VERY, VERY helpful program for me, and lots of others.

    Thanks a lot guys!
